I have not read any previous works of the writer, but read a review about this book only, so I was a bit sceptical how it will turn up.But the story is very good and writing style is very engaging. The characters seem real and the added bonus is it's link with various Bengali delicacy.The printing work, book design and illustrations are totally in sync and is one of the best books of recent times

Good Story presented by Author. But I don't like about Hindi Urdu farsi word used many place. In place if author use bangla, then it more related with story environment.

Wonderfully crafted story. The enitre narrative is like a rainbow tapestry threaded with memoies of past, ongoing present and uncertain but dreamy future. The writer truly deserves applauds for his outstanding writing skill in weaving a story with the cooking delicacies of two bengals. Thank you so much for bringing up many traditional but almost forgotten begali recipes.
