Great Homebrew Aid
This is a great help to my homebrewing setup. I'm somewhat new to all grain brewing, and don't use a pump, so I needed a pitcher to recirculate my mash when mashing out and for transfers, etc. I was using a pretty good plastic pitcher, but was concerned that it would melt over time, and add who knows what to the beer. This pitcher is light, strong, and holds a full gallon - plus a bit of extra head space so it won't spill. The large lip helps keep splatters to a minimum and makes pouring much easier - less dripping. Maybe time to get another as the price just dropped below twelve bucks. Thanks to homebrewfinds-dot-com for this one.

A Great Measuring Pitcher
I needed a bigger measuring pitcher for brewing. I almost went with another Pyrex one, but in addition to the fragility of the Pyrex, the writing on the one I have has worn off. Then I remembered back to the days when I worked in restaurants and bakeries - we just used these aluminum pitchers for measuring quarts and gallons. It was quick and easy. And doing gallon at a time made it harder to lose track for larger volumes. This was the ticket, and should last a lifetime.

Great for my needs
I was looking for a stainless steel measuring cup for my crafting. This was almost perfect. I had to have my husband bend a better pouring spout into it but works perfectly now!

Perfect for home brewing use
First, there is a review about the handle having sharp edges making it tough to hold when full of liquid, there's 100% truth there. Despite reading that review, I went ahead and ordered it thinking I would be clever by buying a can of plasti-dip and spraying the handle. Whether it was because it was cold or just the metal itself, the plasti-dip didn't adhere so off it came. I opted to use it the next day all the same.Having a gallon container to vorlauf is great. I love the large lip that goes all the way around. I wish there was a little more attention paid to the handle, but I'm pretty okay with the thing. It's not real necessary for me to precisely measure out liquids with this so not having the measurements is not a problem. Definitely for $11 bucks shipped I can't be sad. I can toss this around and not worry about it busting. It will get scratched and maybe it'll dent, but it'll still remain perfect for my vorlaufing. I think I may toss some duct tape around the handle just for kicks but using two hands to catch liquid, it wasn't difficult. No one lost a finger using it, as far as I know.

Perfect for watering in my garden
I have been looking for nonplastic watering pitchers for my garden for awhile and I found it. Very happy with these. I will probably wrap the handle with tape to ease the weight of water on them like they do in bakeries.

Decent but there are better
I bought this to use to measure water with for homebrewing as well as possible high temp liquids. The indents to measure on the inside were barely visible and I had to take a center punch and make them more defined. I quickly swapped it out for the Rubbermaid Commercial Products FG321800CLR 4-Quart Bouncer Measuring Cup which is clear, break resistant, and NSF rated to 212 Degrees. I much prefer that one to this one.

Nice, sturdy, aluminum 4qt pitcher.
Nice sturdy aluminum 4qt pitcher.Measurements are pretty close. For 1 gal I had to have just a bit more above where it starts to curve but it definitely fit.I am using this for brewing beer and have only used it so far to measure cold liquid but I would imagine that it would be fine with hot liquid as well.

good enough
good enough for what I wanted it for. It holds a gallon, and is pretty sturdy & will be handy.

Great Product
It was what I wanted, but I wish that there was no rivet inside the cup; makes its harder to clean.

A kind of 3 qt measuring cup, maybe
I bought this for home brewing. First quart marker is too low and only measures 3 and 2/3 cups instead of 1 qt. From the first line to the second line it's a little more accurate. However the first quart, the one that counts, is wrong. A full 4 qt volume fills the jug halfway up the flared lip. I would not use this product as an accurate measuring tool, merely as an expensive aluminum hot liquid transfer jug. I'm probably going to use a centre punch to mark an accurate 3 qt level when measuring transfers because a 4 qt hot transfer is going to spill. I would rename this product to "a kind of 3 qt measuring cup, maybe".
