Vampire Girl 2: Midnight Star

Okay, so I purchased the first book months ago and delayed in reading it until yesterday. I finished it yesterday. I bought the second book yesterday and also finished it.I was worried that the second book wouldn't live up to the magic and spectacular wonderfulness of the first one, and I can happily say that it absolutely did.We got to see more of the princes, which was a huge plus of course. I'm so glad I got to see more of Asher and understand more about him. It was nice to see him and Ari bond.I love Fen. I really do. And I love what he and Ari has together. I love his protectiveness of Ari and look forward to seeing more of it in the future.I don't want to spoil anything, so I should probably end this review soon. If you enjoyed the first book, then DEFINITELY give this one a read. These authors are really fantastic. And boy, do they know how to end a good book, and leave you wanting more. I can't WAIT for the third installment. I only hope that the third one is a bit longer, although I'll be happy either way, and will take what I can get!

Midnight Star is an incredible sequel to Vampire Girl. Once you read the first book you will want to read the next book right away. I know I did. The characters are so well developed and the story will draw you in right from the beginning. It has lots of action, suspense, romance and so much more. It is a real page turner. I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of this series!The story pretty much picks up where Vampire Girl left off. Ari knows who she truly is and wants to find a way to make peace between the Vampire, Fae and Shades. She is spending her month with Asher but as things happen they don’t always turn out the way she would like. There is a war about to start that Ari doesn’t want to happen. There are still those out there who will do anything to destroy her and those who just want to protect her at any cost.I love Ari and Fen’s relationship and their love for one another. Ari knows that Fen doesn’t want to be king but she must choose one of the princes to be the new king. I also really like Asher, he is funny and mysterious in his own way. We haven’t really had a chance to get to know the other princes yet which I am looking forward to. I love Yami too, he is so cute and adorable.So much exciting turn of events happen throughout the story. The ending will shock you with the cliffhanger it leaves. My mouth dropped and I sat stunned for a few minutes after finishing the book. I will be continuing on to reading book three because I have to know what happens next. I recommend it if you love stories with Vampires and or Fae you will love this series!

I am a fan of paranormal romance books, but have been getting tired of the same predictable story line. I have also been getting overly annoyed with the multitude of grammar and spelling mistakes included in those books (seriously authors, spell check and grammar check was invented for a reason)! Then along came this breath of fresh air! The Vampire Girl series can be described in one word...phenomenal! Aside from the fact that it is written by a husband and wife team, (who apparently can work together without choking each other, which is an amazing feat) this series is immensely different from other books in the genre. This book especially has many unpredictable twists and turns that keep the reader engaged in the story.The characters are very likeable and well developed, even though the budding relationship between Fen and Arianna seems to be skimmed over. The reader does get the point without all of the redundant, over written, babbling that most other authors write into the minds of their main characters. Karpov Kinrade does an excellent job proving that they don't need all of that "filler" crap in their books to make them enjoyable.The action alone fills up the pages! Oh, I also wanted to say that I, for one, am now wishing that baby dragons were real! Really, who wouldn't want Yami on their shoulder?!Read this series! You'll love it!

Generously rounding up for 3 & 1/2 stars. Well, the 2nd book in this series is pretty good, but I definitely liked book 1 better. There were more flow issues in this book than the first one. This didn't hold my attention as well either, I definitely wouldn't have stayed up late to finish this one. I feel like Ari is constantly setting herself up for bad things to happen to her. Also, the relationship between her & Fen just seem to be too angsty/teenagerish for my taste, not like a real relationship. I also felt that Fen lost some of his charm in this book. The rest of the princes deffinitely lost any likability too. If it weren't for the violence in this series, I would almost say this is a Y/A series. I also don't like that poor Ari is being used by both sides for their own purposes continuously. I hate for the heroine in stories to ALWAYS be the victim thru nearly the whole story from book to book in a series. I'm worried about book 3 holding it's momentum for me. I find a lot of series just can't keep that momentum.

I very rarely get the notion to 're read a book as soon as I have finished. This makes me want to do that. I dnt know why but this series has left a great impression on me.I cannot wait to find out what happens, Lucian is up to something and whether or not Asher is good or bad I have not worked out. Will the two worlds become one, and live peacefully???I cannot wait to find out what happens. Fantastic series so far. Karpov Kinrade have written an amazing story in my opinion.

They are back and once again wowing us with their story telling genius. In this book Air is coming to terms with her real identity and what this may mean for the future. Fen and Arianna's love for one another is addictive although I would have liked to see some more romance between the two. The twist at the end was one I did not see coming. I will now have to wait patiently for the next installment in this captivating story.

This book is amazing I loved the first book, I had been recommend the book's in several of my book clubs but put it off. I am gutted I did the first book was very good but the second is so much better. Buy both you will be guaranteed a couple of very good reads.

This is the second book in the vampire girl series and again like the first I could not put it down. If you like to be kept on the end of your set then this is the book for any supernatural loving person.

This is the second book I've read from Karpov Kinrade. I've now also read both the first & second book in the Vampire Girl series. Great series so far & can't wait for book 3 to come out soon!

Excellent book. Really enjoyed it and would recommend to others if wanting something a bit different.

OK so I really liked the first one a lot but wow this one is even better in my opinion and what an ending wow wow wow I can't wait to read the next one.

This is the first book I've read of this author. I absolutely love it. Amazing. Really good cliff hangovers but I have so many questions. Arghhhhh lol.

Amazing second book! I didn't think the first book could be beaten but I was wrong, soooo wrong! The ending too this book is my fav bit because I normally see things coming But my god I didn't expect that! I recommend this series to all it's brilliantly written and is prob one of my all time fave!!
