This headlight worked as described. It's a nice low cost option for replacing a burned out headlight bulb.

Same as the original bulb
It is same as the one that I replaced. I have owned this car for more than 12 years, so the old one should be the original bulb. In fact the old one was still working, so it had a long life. Otherwise there is nothing special about this bulb.

I was considering trying the Sylvania 9004 Xtravision Halogen & the SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen Headlight bulbs... But after reading the consistent negative reviews about their short life span I decided to stay with the proven & tested OEM bulbs, which have worked for 17 years in my Ford Escort Pony!Before considering either the Sylvania 9004 Xtravision Halogen & the SilverStar Ultra High Performance over the Sylvania 9004 basic Halogen Headlight bulbs:"ALL the DOT-legal high output bulbs achieve higher output by overdriving the filiments, which reduces bulb life. They have to do this because the DOT puts limits on wattage. The only exception are HID and HIR bulbs, which use new technology to get more light out of less watts." The Sylvania 9004 Xtravision Halogen is rated at a color temperature of 3200K & the SilverStar Ultra High Performance is rated at 4000k (yellowish white light)- meaning very little improvement at the cost of longevity & dollars spent.Now you can order the SYLVANIA 9004 Basic Halogen Headlight Bulbs online from Walmart & pick up locally for $8.97 each with free shipping.
