Q: Comopatible to Handi Wipes?

I had been using Handi Wipes since the early 1970's when they actually offered a choice of colors. Unfortunately, Handi Wipes changed their formula and only available now in blue, not as durable and blue is not my color of choice. That's why I bought these to try. There are pros and cons. They certainly are durable but stain easily (I bought white) and they are not quite as absorbent if you try to wipe up spills with a dry cloth. They do launder well though. I replace the dish cloth every month. I'm still working through my first package so not sure about buying again.

Q: Is it recommended to wash before using the first time?

I don’t see a need to wash these cloths before using them. They come in plastic wrap.
