Really wanted to love this bag..
I really wanted to love this bag. The measurements are perfect for the Canadian carry on restrictions. There's one major flaw though. Usually on hard sided bags there is an elastic cross strap on one side and a zippered section on the other, or sometimes there are two zippered sections. This bag has the elastic cross straps on the top half of the case so when you open it normally, stuff falls out. Not a problem if you open it with the face down but I never remember to do that and it's very frustrating. This seems like a huge oversight and a simple fix for the manufacturer. I ended up returning it. Another thing that I would have liked is a handle on the side, even if it added a bit more weight to the overall bag as I think it's worth it. Would definitely buy again if these things are changed. I liked everything else about it.. too bad. If those two things don't bother you and you want a solid bag that's not heavy like most, this is the bag for you.

Default Code Doesn't Work, No Override Key Provided
The suitcase arrived and when I attempted to open it using the default code 0-0-0 it would not release the zipper pulls and open. Although there is a key slot next to the combination numbers, there is no key provided to open the suitcase. I contacted Amazon customer service and am awaiting a replacement suitcase. Even if the new suitcase unlocked I'll still searching the internet for an override key to avoid any future disasters.

Quality is low, slipping, not what I would expect from Travelpro...
I'm literally a "travel professional" - 30-40 trips per year for many years now, so my luggage gets put to the test. I've been using Travelpro for a while now, usually solid and well designed luggage. You also notice a lot of crew use them, and they usually know what's good, so I went that route. This time though, I was disappointed. My last Travelpro unit that was the same price had a much heavier duty zipper, handle extension, and wheels. The zipper had failed on it in two places, and I couldn't wait to get it repaired so I ordered this unit as a direct equivalent replacement. Just disappointing. Everything about this just feels low quality and cheap. The single track wheels get stuck in cracks, I didn't notice this as all Travelpro's I've purchased all had dual channel wheels that snag less. The inside zipper feels diffiuclt around the sharp corners which tells me from experience those stress areas are going to wear out fast. Fewer pockets as well. I also bought a Delsey at the same time - a brand I had not used but was getting good reviews and was an Amazon's choice. I'm keeping the Delsey and this one is going back. The Delsey is definitely better in every way, better in fact than my previous Travelpro. So there ya go Travelpro, you slack on your quality and you lose the business.
