Q: How long does this thing stay?

A few days. But it will dry out your hair. If your hair is dry is takes a while for it to color. If it's wet not so much. I won't buy it again.

Q: can the chalks work on doll's hair?

Yeah I don't see why not. It will get on whatever it touches though so use hairspray

Q: Is it safe to put it on a puppy?

No. You need to seal it with hair spray (which is 100% not safe for dogs) or else it's a loose powder that your dog could shake of and digest, again not safe for dogs. Leave dying a dogs fur to professionals... or don't do it at all.

Q: Does it really not make a mess or gets on your clothes or hands and does it come right out first wash with shampoo?

It does come out with Shampoo, but if you are worried, schedule a hair appointment first and do the hot huez the day before the hair appointment so if it messes up, you have a professional to fix it!
