It didn’t work for us unfortunately. I thought it would help my one pit not to get so barky when I let her out of her crate. But I can tell they can hear it. So it might work for smaller less excitable dogs, not sure. Also it goes off with any louder noise so you have to make sure you turn it off when it’s not needed because they will just get used to it.

Worked for my puppy but my older dog (>10) started to develop signs of hearing loss after using it for a few days. To be clear, I only used it with no music or tv on while we were gone for a couple of hours so they wouldn’t bark at every person walking on the sidewalk. My younger dog learned quick, and stopped packing. My older dog, maybe didn’t learn so quick or stopped hearing it. She started shaking her head after a few days of use and now I’ve noticed she can’t hear the treat jar shaking anymore or her food being poured. I have to call her name loudly to get her attention. It’s quite sad.

I have two dogs that MUST bark at anything that goes by on THEIR sidewalk. Even if it is in the middle of the night. I have tried various barking deterrents, but this is small and can be placed anywhere in the living room, and it works on my dogs. Thank you PetSafe.

I have a 6pound 1.8year old Teacup Chiwawa.This item didn't even phase him At All. I followed the instructions carefully including putting it at his height and within 2 m of where he was in the crate- would not make him stop barking. The red light would flash but did nothing at all. Also...battery died in <1week! NOT worth your time.
