Anthony's Unseasoned Meat Tenderizer with Bromelain and Papain, 2.5 lbs, Made in USA, No MSG added

I run this through an electric coffee grinder to make a power. Keep it in a salt shaker and make a paste with water when needed for a bite or sting. This paste is especially good for fire ant bites.

This was just what I was looking for. We use tenderizer on most all our meat. A small bottle at the grocery has become way too expensive not to mention I dont like the MSG thats in most brands. I trust this brand because I have used and like several of their products. It is MSG free! It came in a resealable bag and was packed well. I will re-order when needed.

I gave this product the benefit of the doubt and bought it despite the negative comments. It was very very salty which is already a no go. But i decided to run a test on it cause i dislike throwing things away. I covered a thin slice of meat with this stuff and let it sit for 1 full day. I cooked it but nothing. I ended up with a tough rubbery extremely salty piece of meat. Had to throw it away. I do not recommend it at all.

Unseasoned is not an appropriate way to label this product. It contains salt and sugar. Salt is considered a seasoning.

We were told by reliable sources that Adolphs brand was useful as first aid for stings and bites. But it no longer has the special ingredient called papain. Anthony's does and is a large enough package to gift samples to our friends.Hopefully never use it, but if needed it is in the pack....

Perfect for my needs. I needed to tenderize eye of round steaks. Cover both sides with fine layer and let sit for 15 minutes per 1/4 inch of thickness. This has all the enzymes plus the salt to prepare that tough cut of ,eat.

This tenderizer works really well apply it give it 20-30 minutes product has no flavor, & really tenderize the meat. Excellent value.

Anthony's! What were you thinking? You've been my trusted go to for a long time BUT this truly disappoints. It took me a bit to figure out that on the ingredients list "Suar" is actually Sugar yet the ingredients list no added sugar. It is as the other reviewers say; too salty. My bad for trusting you and not reading the ingredeint list before I purchased this--I believed the headline "Unseasoned Meat Tenderized with Bromelain and Papain" and if listing food ingredients is like cosmetic ingredients the primary tenderizing ingrdients (Bromelain and Papain) are at the bottom of the list which means this is mostly salt and sugar and cornstarch. SOOOOO disappointed in you!
