MilwaukeeMW4932430906 Bit Set, Red

I just love this impact driver set. It's pretty comprehensive and the quality of the bits seem excellent. The case is super-sturdy. I use this set alongside a DeWALT DCF887N 18V impact driver and this serves my everyday needs well. Only a couple of gripes. The internal 'racks' that rotate to get the bits out are quite stiff, as are many of the bits in their 'holes'. However better than so loose they fall out everywhere. Also, since Milwaukee take the time to wrap little red bands around the shank of the bits, it would be nice if the band had the relevant sizing on it, rather than just the word 'Milwaukee' (for us who no longer have 20/20 and struggle to read the size on the metal part).

This is a set of impact driver heads that sit in a rather nice red case and seem to do everything you want from impact heads.They're not expensive so I don't expect them to last forever, but they're just right for screwing chequer plate to my Land Rover, well eventually...They come in a sort of vacuum blown plastic case that's then welded together. It's almolst utterly impossible to open without resorting to a carving knife and brute force. The spot welded plastic bits in teh centre were especially infuriating.It's pretty much impossible to remove the packing without scratching the rather nice red case they all come in.The case is clever enough and allows the bits to 'sit up' when needed but, and it's a big 'but', there's no colour coding on the bits...

I bought these in October just to have. First time using and a star head bit broke. As it was so soon after purchase the seller replaced set with a new one no problems which was great. But using them today under light use a star head broke again. They are no longer returnable with seller. The reason I bought them was they are meant to be virtually indestructible according to YouTube videos. This would appear not the case as they have had rare and light use and have broke again.Contacted Milwaukee UK direct this time and they say they are not covered under warranty, with the videos I've seen our American friends get replacements but we must not count.Disappointing as they are meant to be great but aren't.

I bought this to use at my place of work and Im happy with it. Good range of tools and the drills are a welcome addition.The only problem was the latch on the box, it literally broke within a couple of days of purchase as I was opening it, would have given the 5 stars but for this as now the tools can fault out when putting in or taking out of tool bag.

Seems fine, the black coating comes off almost immediately from the tips but doesn't make any real difference, my old black snap on bits of over 30 years old still are black though .. but at the time cost 10 times as much.. drill bits are good for wood and aluminium, have not drilled steel yet . The box is robust but it's awkward to get the bits out due to the design. You sort of have to lever them forward.
