Worked Once.
I used it once. Opened can fine. Then it never "attached" to another can. Tried and tried. My loss...Update:Customer service contacted me back. Found that the cutting wheel was in the wrong position. They sent a video to help me correct it. Now opener is working. 😊

very helpful
I bought this for my mother who has terrible arthritis, this makes it very easy for her to open cans which she just could not do with a conventional opener. Other than the occasional lid getting a bit jammed it makes her life a bit easier.

Easy and convenient
Works well, is on the slow side however I can multitask while can is opening. I've gone through countless manual openers...this one I've been using for about a month and it's holding up well!Update: after a few months of using this, the can opener gets small slivers of the can label inside the mechanism and stops working. I've had to remove the slivers of the label and takes a few tries for opener to grab hold and start opening the can. Also, regardless of new batteries, the opener seems under-powered.

This cuts the can on the outside. No sharp edges.
Quick and easy. Just press and a few seconds later, the can is open. This is different from what we are used to, as it cuts on the outside of the can. For draining purposes, we use a small strainer over the open can, as opposed to holding the top in. Clever gadget.

Solid and works
I first purchased this type of can opener many years ago. It was the "As Seen On TV" Toucan model. It cut into the actual rim of the top, it had to go around many times before cutting through to remove the lid. Being the first time I had this type of opener, I thought where it was cutting was normal but inefficient. After not much use, it started to literally fall apart, the casing fell into pieces. Though I could reassemble it, it would repeat doing this. eventually I gave up on it. I then found another one from a discount store online. It was built better and I found it actually cuts just below the rim. I worked much better, then one day it didn't turn on. I swapped the batteries, rotated the release thumb-wheel, but it just died. My normal electric can opener from Oster was not very functional either, it had difficulty hanging on to the can. (got it on sale at Target. I later found it was always on sale, and I know why...) I then looked once more for another hand free opener like the two failures and found this one. When I tested it, it took a second or two but grabbed the can and started to open it. I know this is normal from my previous devices of this type. If it's up against the can and doesn't start cutting right away, it will usually grab it in a little bit and start. When it completed the cut it turned itself off. There was a sliver of metal still connected, but that's OK, it kept the lid in place and a simple twist removed it. It doesn't happen every time and it's more a factor of the cans being made more flimsy so they bend away easier. As for cans with water/liquid filled to the brim, since it's being cut from the side, you can expect a little to pour out. For this reason, I always it the can on a small Dixie type paper plate to catch that. This opener is built well and works as expected. Longevity can only be tested over time, but as long as it doesn't no turn on like the discount unit I have, then I expect this to last. So far, so good. I would recommend getting this model if you are looking to try one or replace a bad one.

WORKS SO MUCH BETTER THAN HAND MANUAL OPENER!
So recently I started looking here on Amazon and found some outrageous prices and good prices, but I saw all these electric hands can openers and many a good price. So I read ALOT of reviews - good and on many openers, bad and the good outweighed them all and that led me here...I got this KITCHENMUH "Electric Can Opener, Safe Smooth No Sharp Edges Can Opener for Almost Size Can" in black on Prime Day 2022 for $14.99 but I would've paid the $19.99. you have to provide the 2 AA battery's. It also comes in red. It is not at all big, not much bigger than a hand can opener so you can put it in a drawer or stand it on the counter. It says its good for those with arthritis and that's the truth!I've used a hand manual can opener for decades but it's been harder as I've gotten older (58 f). So not that long ago I went to a store to look at standing electric can openers but they were very outrageous in price so I bought a new manual one that ended up going back as it didn't work.I thought I had to hold the can and press the button but there's a little thing underneath by the opener that makes it go whether you hold it or not. So the magnet clanged on the can and basically opened it with very little help from me after I started it!! And one thing I NO longer have to deal with is the sharp edges from manual can opener!!Thanks for reading my review!

It is easy to use and works great.
With arthritis in my fingers, I could no longer use a manual can opener. I have limited space in my kitchen. This is small and fits in a drawer. It is easy to use and works great. Highly recommend.

Doesn’t just start on its own
I always have to give it a little nudge first for it to start cutting automatically. It also doesn’t stop automatically sometimes. It cuts along the outer side of the can and not the inside. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but I prefer the cut at the top of the can on the inner rim of the lid. It was fairly cheap but I did expect a little better product than this.
