We got a 14 lb German shepherd that howled PITIFULLY in her crate on the 2 hour ride to her first home - expected, but still a tough journey. First goal was to get her used to the car in a harness, so we got a both small & medium ones figuring she'd soon grow into the larger one.Well fast forward 4 months and Lilly's tripled her weight and now in a large size harness. We use a car veered steel cable (similar to what is sold as a tie out but shorter) that clips right into our vehicle's LATCH system and off we go! We love that we can customize the fit around her chest and under her belly - a perfect fit every time! She eagerly runs into the unclipped harness knowing there is exciting (and comfortable!) travel in store. This product is a home run - we met our first goal for Lilly to learn to love car rides thanks to this product!

We use the Pawaboo Dog Safety Vest Harness for our 45-lb golden retriever/border collie mix to tether her when she's in the car. She's on her second one as she grew out of her puppy one. She knows when we put it on that it's time to hop in the car and go someplace fun, so she loves her Pawaboo. It's easy to adjust and doesn't seem to bother her at all. I wash it about once/month, putting it in a small net bag, washing it with the other dog laundry (towels and such), and line drying it.

Got this for my 20lb 3 mo old puppy. I like how you can clip a leash on and take off the seat belt.portion. Pup is very secure and Ibcould lengthen the attachment. Now at 4 mo Pup has graduated to a large as he is now 36lbs. Still great quality and fit.

I liked how easily the seat belt clicked intoplace. My dog sits nice or lays down and seems to like it and is well behaved vs. jumping up onto the front seat. Also I like that I can unhook the harness from the seatbelt and put his leash right on it. Best of all he can't hang half way out the car window which is dangerous

It failed the test she was able to get out of it fast as lightening.

I just received the harness, but I have used Pawaboo harnesses on our dogs since 2017. We keep them in our vehicles, and none have shown any wear.We have big, rambunctious dogs, mostly Labs, who love to see their harness because that means road trip. They quickly wore out faux sheep skin harnesses; strap harnesses were more difficult to adjust and apparently were uncomfortable, as the dogs moved around a lot more and got them twisted. I also worried about the straps hurting the dogs in the event of hard braking or a crash. The Pawaboo harness has a large pad at the chest that I think would help more in an emergency. While it apparently hasn't been crash tested, it's hard to see how it could be improved to help keep a dog safer. The weakest link for any harness might be the strap that typically snaps into a seat belt buckle and attaches at the back. I try to keep that strap adjusted short while still giving the dog some room to move around a little. It certainly will keep your pet from leaping out of the car to pursue that noblest of game animals, the squirrel.Full disclosure: we did hit a full-grown deer at highway speed last spring, a common hazard where we live. The dog in the back seat had no physical injuries, however, he was terrified by the loud bangs produced when the air bags and seatbelt pretensioners deployed. Unfortunately, the deer didn't surviveI have never had difficulty adjusting the Pawaboo harnesses. The adjusting straps, once set, don't slip, and they are a snap (literally two snaps) to put on even a big dog who is jumping around with excitement. I should also mention that the harness works well for for walking your dog, and the leash attachment at the back gives one a lot more control if the dog bolts.Our dogs tend to weigh about 70 pounds and have the deep chests that Labs develop; the XL size seems to fit very well with the two adjusting straps in front at about 1-2 inches from fully extended. So an L might not be big enough for dogs the size of ours. I just tried the new harness on our dog, who came by to see why I was still at my laptop instead of walking him, and it fit perfectly.I would say one can't go far wrong with one of these harnesses; you can certainly pay more if that would increase your pride of ownership.

My dog has no problem with wearing the harness, and best of all, it gives me the best control over him, without choking him. We tried several collar types before trying this on a lark, and it was the best decision we ever made. He obeys commands better, and when he doesn't he obeys the tug on the harness.When walking all I have to do is move the leash to the left or right and he goes that way, whether it is to avoid an obstacle like broken glasss, or to cross a street.When I give a little tug on the leash he sits.None of this happened before changing to the harness option. I love this product. Even the harness is nice and sturdy and fits the dog very well. I always feel like my little pooch is nice and safe when she’s wearing this in the car.

My puppy hasn’t worn a harness before and I put it on and as soon as we started running it was like it wasn’t there.

The product is good. Worth the buy, it provides the buckle for the car. Drives a Kia cerato and the buckle fits nicely. Need to put the harness over the head and just buckle at the side. Is quite convenient to use. Bought a red which is exactly as shown in pic.
