Taroko Design Tomoe River Regular Size Notebook, 2-Pack, Dots, White Office Product

If you don't like seeing a shadow this paper is not for you but I live the paper and prefer it over thick paper. The notebook is made well and the paper is great. Love the thinness of the paper it's like bible paper in case you don't know what Time River paper is. It's fountain pen friendly and although it shows shadows on the reverse side of the page my pens do not bleed through and I use gel pens

There’s a review by “Lexi” from July 2021 stating that these inserts are not the original Tomoe River paper. She seems to think that Tomoe River is a cream paper, as she compares it to the paper in her Hobonichi Weeks — she is incorrect. Tomoe River paper comes in both cream and white. Moreover, these inserts are 68gsm, not 52gsm, which is the weight that Hobonichi uses. But it IS 100% Tomoe River. I’ve been using TRP since 2013ish. I can tell.As for the inserts themselves, I’ve been using this brand in my Chic Sparrow TN for a couple of years and I’ve never had any problems at all. They’re sturdy, good quality, and the paper is, of course, excellent.

It was my mistake that I didn't read the actual description. I just know I saw "Tomoe River" and jumped on it! Regardless, the notebooks are quite thin with not many pages, I get double the amount of blank/grid paper of both TN's put together in my actual Hobonichi planner for not much more in price than these. It's not the original tomoe river paper that is so raved about unfortunately. I included some photos of the original tomoe river paper next to this TN. The Original is the yellower toned. As this TN is pretty much white. It's still nice but doesn't have that satisfying crinkle to it like the original.

This notebook is so thin and lightweight, but the Tomoe River paper loves fountain pen ink. Wonderful. I will be ordering again.

The size is perfect for my Midori Traveler's Journal! The Tomoe River Paper is the best part about these little journals and having the dots were a plus. This famous paper is perfect because it is super thin and never bleeds. This product is awesome to use!

Taroko makes extremely high quality products and these inserts are a great example of that. They have my favourite paper -- Tamoe River - which is one of the most fountain pen-friendly papers on the planet. The inserts are perfect for travel, especially since Tamoe River paper is lightweight.If you ever experience that deer-in-the-headlamps feeling when it's time to write in a thick brand new journal with many pages, give these inserts a try. It's much less intimidating to have fewer pages.

These are not the standard size the listing claimed they were. Otherwise great though.

Very happy with these notebooks. As expected, the Tomoe River paper is perfect. No bleed through or ghosting and is beautiful to write on with my fountain pens. Fits perfectly into my traveller's notebook, taking up much less room with the lighter paper weight. Would definitely recommend and will be repurchasing in the future.

Love the paper in these notbooks. Will buy again.
