Great running jacket
I bought this jacket 18 years ago and finally broke down to by a new one. This is my running jacket from about September to May in Maine. I layer with a mid weight jacket underneath in weather under 30° . I’m 5.1, 120 pounds and wear this jacket loose and comfortable. I run daily outside for about an hour so it gets a lot of wear. This has many improvements from my first jacket. It is fully lined with a waterproof like material that protects the seams. My first jacket had tape on all the seams that eventually peeled off and was very itchy around the edges. This also has one pull string at the back of the hood to pull it tight when it’s raining or snowing (or both lately). This is an improvement over the pull strings on each side that I eventually cut short so they didn’t bounce around. The cuffs have heavier duty Velcro to snug those down. There is no Velcro at the central zipper. Instead it’s just stiffer and a thinner strip of material that, so far, stays closed on its own. It’s the same fit as my first one which is a big plus for me. My first was yellow, definitely a better color for running. Only thing I would change is a slightly longer top piece on the hood. I was able to cinch down the hood a bit better on my first jacket, if this had a bit more material it would keep more rain/sleet/snow off your forehead. All in all, great jacket, and definitely keeps you dry.

Expensive but worth it. Size up if you want several layers underneath.
I researched several jackets for hiking and backpacking that would stand up to backpack straps as well as bushwhacking. I decided on this one for several reasons. It packs very small (although size M weighs 12 oz). It has zippered hand pockets, pit zips and one inside zippered chest pocket. I stood in the shower to test it and it kept my upper body completely dry. The Gore-Tex is breathable. There are lighter ones on the market in the $300+ range but those are very thin and some of the reviews mentioned that they tear easily in the bush. I wear a small but sized up to a medium since I will wear this over three layers including a puffy jacket which I immediately tried and it is still very comfortable. It also has a splendid guarantee from both Marmot and Gore-Tex. I am 5'9 120 pounds

I like it
I like this jacket. I ordered a size up because I wanted to be able to wear layers underneath and it fits well. I don’t know if it’s just me, but the forearms are a little tighter than I like. I typically am an 8 or medium in shirts and got a large.

Ran small
I had to return it. It ran too small in the hips.

Doesn't feel good against your skin
I bought this rain jacket in anticipation of traveling to Ireland this fall. Because of the drought I didn't have a chance to try it out during a rainstorm until today. I was very dismayed to discover that the jacket feels damp and clammy against my skin. When I took it off, I noticed these damp spots on the inside of the jacket. It looked (and felt) like moisture leaked through.

Perfect for Iceland!
Bought this for Iceland on a recommendation. Wore it for 8 days straight in intense wind, rain, snow, and the occasional sunny day! Fantastic for layering. Kept me warm and dry.

Wonderful fit
Amazing jacket!Comfortable and keeps your dry.It is loud when the hood is on though. Also the breast pocket doesn’t keep the phone entirely dry so be careful when carrying valuables in it.

Possibly the best jacket I have bought, great quality and fabulous for rainy and cold windy days. I would definitely consider this make for the future.
