Tecumseh 35647A Oil Fill Tube

my original oil fill tube was broken off evidently from slightly over tightening the oil fill cap. the small amount of excess torque twisted the fill tube into two pieces. The replacement oil fill tube which i just bought is made of the same cheap plastic. both old and new tube are by Tecumseh. It fits fine, and the price was good, but this is a product that seems designed to fail. how much would it take to use a slightly stronger plastic? I've seen plastic waster bottles that were made to last longer

Exact OEM replacement. It comes with two o-rings to fit either style of connection at the engine block. Pay attention when you take it apart. I was disappointed that it did not come with the o-ring for the too which I thought was the second o-ring in the description. I had to order it separately and wait for delivery which delayed my repair.

My old tube snapped at the base and oil started spewing out. I feared I would have to buy a new mower but took a chance with buying this tube. I was super impressed that they included 2 different sized o-rings with it. Installation was quick and easy. I drained and refilled the oil after installation and started the mower right up. This part saved me a bunch of money!

Part arrived on time and in perfect condition. Filler Tube installed in a few minutes -- fits perfectly. Package contained Filler Tube and two (2) additional O-rings -- in addition to the O-ring that was installed on the Filler Tube at the factory. No more oil leaks !!

I've got a Toro push mower from 2002 that I keep running as sort of a fun project. Somehow, the original oil fill tube was damaged and oil would spray out when operating the mower - obviously, that's bad. This replacement part fit perfectly with the engine and the original oil cap. It came with a rubber seal already in place where it connects to the engine and an extra O-ring that goes... somewhere? Didn't use that and don't see where it would be used.
