Great Compilation Album
This is one of my favorite record labels and I listen to most of the artists who have recorded under them. It's awesome to have them all in one set. Highly recommended to those who love punk rock music.

A Fat Wrecktrospective Indeed! - The Perfect Guide to Fat's Catalogue!
Fat Wreck Chords is probably the biggest Punk Rock label active today. Started in the early 90's by NOFX's lead singer Fat Mike and his wife Erin, the label has released some of the best Punk Rock records since its creation. Bands like NOFX, Lagwagon, Propagandhi, Good Riddance, Rise Againsts, Strung Out, No Use For A Name (RIP Tony), Less Thank Jake, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Snuff, Avail , The Mad Caddies and Consumed (just to name a few...) have been able to bring their music to a wider audience. Back in the mid 90's, Fat Wreck Chords became a well-respected reference for punk rock music and bands. Many popular punk and rock bands of that era with a similar sound were in the peak of their popularity as well, bands like Green Day , The Offspring and Blink 182 for example, brought us their best music in that period. By 1996-97, Punk Rock was huge and bigger than it ever was before...I'm aware that not all the good punk bands were on Fat though, Bad Religion, one of the biggest punk bands in the world have been doing just fine on their "Epitaph" Label. So as Rancid on "Hellcat Records" and so as Satanic Surfers and Millencolin did on "Burning Heart Records". In my heart, they're still part of the punk movement that emerged in the mid 90's.Anyone who was into punk music back then will remember these amazing years. It was the feeling of being a part of something cool, something that was slowly gaining more in popularity. Like many other fans of that era, this is where I discovered Punk Rock music and all the bands. Reading the "Thank You" section of any band's album was also a good way to discover other similar bands as they were all very supportive of each other, thanking one another in their albums flyers every time an album came out. It was just like a big family. As more and more talented bands were seeing the light of day, Fat Wreck Chords started to put out the "Fat Music" compilations, mostly consisting of new and/or unreleased material for the bands on the label. "Fat Music for Fat People" in 1994 and "Survival of the Fattest" in 1997 are still considered as classic punk rock compilations. As of today and aside from this one, the label put out 7 compilations. Of course many bands we had back then are now gone, disbanded or signed to a new label. Like they say: nothing good lasts forever, but it's all good. This 3 Disc set of Fat Wreck's greatest hits will bring you right back in time. It features pretty much all the bands of that era and their greatest hits throughout the years. It is an essential album for any punk music fan.The first CD covers all the biggest hits from the bands on the label since the beginning, featuring songs from the Fat Music compilations as well. The 2nd CD Mostly consists of raw and awesome Demos of many bands for the label. The 3rd CD is from the "Fat Club" Series, it's a real gem that contains new and/or unreleased songs from bands that were not necessarily on the label at the time. Those songs are mostly new and also hard to find if you don't have the comp.Wrecktrospective is a must for any punk rock fans but it's also a perfect place to start for anyone who needs to hear more good rock (yes, I said rock..). This music is good, mostly very fast, fun and melodic . This album is a chance to prove to you that "Punk" doesn't necessarily mean screams, noises and lack of melodies. On the contrary: energy, diversity and originality are what these bands are made of. Punk Rock music is rock with an attitude. Plain and simple.ENJOY!!!!

Well worth it if you love good Punk bands!
This is a very nice collection of Fat Wreck Chord's best music, I bought the cds and imported them to my computer so I don't have to hassle with changing cds. I like the first disc the most, the second disc is all mostly demos songs and the third is music off of vinyl only "Fat Club" releases. I got mind for $15 bucks, which is a steal for this much great Punk music, some is Pop Punk, but anyway this is a must have for Pop Punk fans.My favorite songs are: "The Separation of Church and Skate" (NoFX), "Violins" (Lagwagon), "2RAK005" (Bracket), "Too Close to See" (Strung Out), "Black and Red" (Avail), "Gainesville Rock City" (Less Than Jake), and "Done Reckoning" (Avail). Fat Wreck Chords is my favorite Pop Punk and Punk label, I recommend getting Fat Music Volume IV, its my favorite compilation, besides this one! It comes with a poster with all the album covers ever released on it as a bonus.
