My mini-poo outgrew her puppy coat and it was time to get a bigger one. What I particularly liked about this coat is that it covers the whole underbelly, the part that has no fur at all, which the previous coat left exposed. In the present freezing weather this definitely must be a plus. I found the sizing confusing so I suppose it must start from a chihuahua upwards. My mini-poo measures exactly 20 inches round the girth, so going by the chart I ordered 3XL which turned out to far too big and too long and had to be returned. I ordered the next size down which is 19.7 round the girth. There is sufficient ease to very comfortably accommodate 20-21 inch girth and it is exactly the right length, 17 ins. She certainly likes it and does not object when I put it on. Another point: the rings for the leash are very strong which is a plus, but too thick for the clasp on the lead I was using when she was a puppy, so a larger extendable lead with a bigger clasp is necessary. The coat is padded and has a polyester lining, not fleece, but it is sufficient to to keep my mini-poo, who has classic poodle clip, warm. I found the outer lining round the underbelly felt slightly damp after a walk in the field, but it did not penetrate the padding and the lining was completely dry, so it is waterproof. All in all, very good little coat and would recommend.

It was good quality but not true to size we bought a large but it didn't go round our dog.

Lining catches the zip . Poor dog was stressed with us trying to free him from it . That’s twice same things happened . Zip goes up easily until the connection for lead then it’s very difficult to close it , that’s where lining is catching zip . If it wasn’t for fact dog had groomers on Monday I would return . As it is I’ve cut the extra lining away now I only have to worry about threads catching 🥴🥴

Measurements good . Quality good. Padding good. Zip good. Lovely colour . Soft . Washes well . Love it . Wish there were other colours not just black alternative. Would love an olive or khakis colour

Great fit and my dog loves it

Initially bought a large but was too big so returned it and bought a medium and what a huge difference in the size. It only just fitted. Few days later and the zip bursts just as we’re going out the door. It’s cosy and waterproof but I wouldn’t trust that it wouldn’t burst on someone else.
