I bought this bait cage to replace one I lost in a move somwhere. I bought two and only one came with a latch. That was ok for me because I never use them anyway. I prefer to use reuseable zip ties I get at Wall Greens since their stronger and last a long time.

I bought this for my guinea pigs! I was bothered by all the hay that ended up on the floor from the average hay racks you find at pet stores. I ordered a nice $29 wooden manger on amazon but the shipping date kept getting pushed back...so in thinking outside the box, I decided to try this as a hay manger...and it works beautifully. So much that I have cancelled the previous order. It holds 4 large handfuls of hay which was more than the previous racks I had and no more hay is on the floor! I am afraid that they will eventually chew the leather strap that holds the door closed, so I think I will change that to as S hook of some sort. This keeps my girls busy and was a way cheaper solution than the wooden manger.UPDATE:My girls chewed this up. They were able to chew the coating off the wires, of course the leather strap and then it started to rust of course where they chewed it. I hope this works better for crabs. lol
