I got this for my wife. While we are still running it through the set up, it seems to be a great and speedy laptop. There was no guided set up (like you might get with HP or Dell) but everything is there. Seems to have a solid build, nice back-lit keyboard and great screen. Camera is at the bottom of the screen which I thought was different, but whatever. The price was right and it came real fast, so I like that.

Its pretty fast, but the battery life is almost non-existent. I have to leave the charger plugged in 100% of the time. But all in all it moves pretty fast and it does exactly what I need it to do for half the price of the name brand laptops.

Usually, I do not write reviews. Good or bad. I had to write this review because Broage went above and beyond! I bought this laptop for Power Presentations and did not have high expectations. This laptop proved me wrong! It had an issue with the battery. Contacted customer service and they were fantastic! Very rare today.They could not do enough for me. They sent a replacement and paid for shipping BOTH WAYS!Can't ask for more!Thank you Broage for all you support.

Received the laptop today and when I booted it up there were 7 upside down characters in the lower left hand quadrant of the screen above the task bar - LFA 2840. These obviously do not belong there and obscure that portion of the scree. There are no tags on the outside of the computer. CMD WMIC bios get serial number outputs 'default string'. Seller info has a telephone # and an email address. The telephone # belongs to the warehouse that shipped the laptop but has no info on the actual seller. I wrote a complaint to email address and have not received a response.Ok the so-called screen defect was just a screen protector. A local repair guy, who took a brief look, didn't notice it either. Remove the screen protector and the upside down characters disappear.Larger issues remain:1) Company's non response to emails.2) A labyrinth of companies that all seem to lead to a single entity: Bronze Age LLC 226 Winterbury Drive Dover Deleware3) A link to a Chinese Company located in Zhejiang China4) The absence of a serial number for the computer. There is no serial number on the surface of the computer nor was I able to locate a serial # in the Bios. Instead of a serial # I got the output "Default String." as previously stated.The 4th item is the most damning. Why is someone marketing a laptop the appears to me to be untraceable?All in all I decided that it would be imprudent of me to keep the laptop and I have arranged with Amazon to return it for a full refund.I want to thank Amazon for its cooperation in this matter.I SMELL A RAT!

The unit came dirty and dusty. All the drivers were installed but windows had not been fully updated. This isn't the worst thing in the world, but for an inexperienced user, this could be confusing. I bought this unit because it had pretty okay specs for the price, so it was worth the money. Broage needs to get its stuff together. Sending out dirty units is unacceptable and gross.

I am thrilled with this BROAGE laptop !Metal Case, 8 Gig RAM, ZERO bloatware.I ordered an External DVD drive. I used this laptop to record video via the built in camera. Sound on videos of me on guitar was not good. So ordered 192khz USB mic here at Amazon. The large mouse pad works perfect. My Windows 7 desktop bit the dust. This Broage with nearly 3 times more RAM and a partitioned Solid State Drive ,was truly money well spent. So far it is working exactly as a Win 7, and all my old software should work on this laptop !

It's a great laptop if you bit a separate keyboard and mouse. The touch pad is too big and gets bumped while typing

The keyboard includes a numeric pad at the right side.
