The pins aren't the problem
**To everyone complaining about the pins**--they are designed to be installed with a rubber mallet. They're angled on one end which enables you to start pushing it into the hole. You should not be able to assemble it without tools. If you could, it'd fall apart. The pins would fall out. If you don't have a rubber mallet you can use a hammer and cover the pin with something like a notebook or another piece of wood to absorb the impact. Once it's installed you should not be able to remove it without pliers, if at all. Think of them as nails made of wood.It works well for my needs. Would purchase again if I, for whatever reason, needed to store more swords. Included are photos of the pins, which went in with a few taps.

Great product, assuming it’s not damaged before it reaches you
Some time back, I was trying to organize my sword collection and bought one of these. It arrived in good condition and I hung it on my wall, allowing me to display most of my swords in one place with ease.I recently moved and decided to buy another one to compliment the first. It arrived broken.. having been twisted in two before having been boxed for shipping at Amazon.Someone knew before it shipped out.Anyway, I needed to get everything hung NOW and didn’t have time to wait for a replacement so I repaired it and used it anyway. The breakage wasn’t an issue with the product, but with its handling. Beyond that, it’s a great product.

Arrived very quickly, very simple assembly, but some prep work is required
This all-wood sword rack arrived promptly and safely (all parts present, uncracked or broken), but no instructions, though assembly is fairly obvious. As with other reviewers, the pegs to secure the sides to the top and bottom didn't fit the holes, but a CAREFUL re-drilling of the holes with a 1/4" drill bit did the trick. (I keep wood glue on hand, and ended up needing a dab to secure one slightly looser peg - not a big deal.)Once ready, I used a stud finder to locate the two studs in my wall needed to secure the rack safely and solidly to support the weight. (The rack has wall mounts on each side piece, exactly 16" apart, which is the distance between most common drywall supporting wooden studs.) The rack comes with two hefty nails for mounting, however I drilled very small starter holes to insure that I hit the studs, then used appropriately sized wood screws to secure the rack. With the rack mounted, I placed actual (real) swords in all of the eight available rack spaces, and they are quite securely mounted on the display rack. So, for the remarkably low cost of the rack and with about an hour's worth of preparation, a very suitable sword display rack now resides in our home!

Ordered to display our light saber collection. Works perfectly ...
Ordered to display our light saber collection. Works perfectly. After it was together and put up, my daughter asked for one to put her lightsabers on, so I just ordered her the 3 tier.

Be prepared to jury rig...
This product serves its purpose.....after you put a little work into it that the manufacturer didn't feel the need to. The cardboard, I'm sorry "wooden" pegs were made bigger than the holes they were mad to go in to hold the tierd pieces to the frame. If you try to shave them down and force them in, they easily break, thus leading to my fixing it by finding some small screws to replace the pegs. After doing the work the manufacturer failed to do it does look decent on the wall after swords are placed on it which is the only reason it earned 2 stars from this reviewer. However, it's very cheaply made and if you can't find it for $15.00 or less, I'd recommend looking elsewhere or for a different make and model.

Not particularly impressive
Be prepared to do a fair amount of work to bring this rack up to a useable level. The joinery is cut loosely, I used a good amount of epoxy to fill the voids when I put this together. No instructions where provided, which wasn’t a big deal for me, but if you don’t have any woodworking skills, might be a problem. Also, the unit attaches to the wall at only two points, which is insufficient to bear the weight of 8 swords, in my opinion. So I added 2 additional attachment points.

So much yes. 9.2/10 [from what I can tell]
It is pretty straightforward, which is good, since it doesn't come with instructions. My only gripe is the 4 wooden pegs that hold the crossbars in place to the main weren't the same size as the predrilled holes. So I had to get the drill bits out and widen them out more. It only came with the last 4 wooden pegs and 2 nails to mount the stand on the wall, my son on only hanging foam swords but if we were holding heavier swords, I probably would have wanted to get another bracket to add to the sturdiness. But, all in all, I would Highly recommend. Especially for the money. My 2nd concern is apparently the chemical warning that comes with it- I forget the wording, but can cause harm to cancer risk to reproductive systems.

I mean WOW...
This arrived today, with NO instructions and NO hardware. YAY, I get to be creative and figure out a way to make it work. Good thing I flip houses for a living. I don't even care that the wood is cheap quality, but no instructions and no screws or ANYTHING? WOW...

Sword Stand
Unit is very light and easy ro work with. The frame comes out vert strong. Holds 8 Katana very easily. I could nor use the nails or screws of wall plugs because the sell was built with a concrete slab. Hung up stand using 4 Commander wall brackets each for 5 ib weight. Units seems very secure after the 3rd day. Hope all goes well Had to add 4 more hangers to better secure stands on wall.

Super easy assembly, came as shown
Exactly as advertised, and No, the pegs were not too large for the holes. In response to some other reviews saying that they couldn't get the fastener peg into the holes, I'm 99% sure they were using their hands. Just hammer them in and they'll stay nice and snug, it's meant to be tight.

quit yer whinging and learn how to put things together.
to everyone complaining about the pegs being too tight, it's like that by design. this thing is friction fit together. i put mine together with no issues. no need to jury rig. just used a nail punch and a small hammer and it went together with ease. nail punch can be substituted with just about anything that's got a semi-pointy end and a thicker end to tap lightly with anything that can substitute a hammer. it took longer to take it out of the packaging than to put it together.

You get what you pay for
It holds swords. Also the black paint on it bled off onto my hands once opened. And the dowels to hold the 4 pieces together where the wrong size. And the nails to attach it to the wall didn't come with sinkers and seemingly where made of cheap tin.. But it holds swords.

Can't even survive being shipped.
Terrible quality and packaging. Ordered one, arrived snapped right in half. Ordered a replacement, snapped right in half in the exact same way. The product is made of cheap mdf, and there is nothing in the box robust enough to keep it from snapping. Not worth the money or the hassle.
