Good quality Duty Belt for LEOs
I’ve certainly heard of Acker duty belts, but this is the first of this brand I’ve actually owned. I’ve been in LE for approximately 20 years, and I’ve only owned 3 belts in that time, which is a testemant to the ones I have owned I guess. It seem like all of the name brand belts such as Safariland are now selling the synthetic belts instead of real leather.. I wanted my real leather as I’ve worn for the past 2 decades. Acker was one of the few brands that still have a quality product and real leather out there. This belt is the thickness that I’ve grown accustomed to over the years and about the same quality. I’ve heard that some of the newer ones use very thin, seemingly cheap belts, that’s not the case with this one. Buy with confidence. Acker has been wrapped around cops for years. I definitely would and I definitely will reccomend this belt to the guys at my precinct.

Runs Small, order it big - Looks great, feels great
I ordered it for a halloween costume, because "the new world's gonna need Rick Grimes." It looks/feels like solid quality leather, and the buckles are solid. However, I am between and 32 and 33 inch waist, so I ordered a 32 assuming I was ordering for my size... but it is literally a 32 inch belt end to end... Not a belt sized for a person with a 32 inch waist. I had to punch an extra hold in the belt (3, one for 1 buckle, and 2 for the other buckle) just to snap the thing closed. Giving it 4 stars for the quality, docking a star for the sizing issue.

Superior Sam Browne Belt
After 21 years in law enforcement, this has been the most difficult review I had to write. Compared to other Sam Browne brands this Aker belt ranks high. For the past 21 years I have used a Don Hume Sam Browne Belt. Correct. One belt. It was an amazing belt. And after years of wear and tear, I had to purchase another one. But the problem is it is hard to locate Don Hume products! They sell fast. And the Don Hume Sam Browne Belt was on back order for months through multiple websites. Luckily, I had purchased an Aker pancake holster and I liked the quality leather. That is when I bought an Aker Sam Browne. Please make sure you order a size bigger because it is not made "sized to fit." For example, if you wear a size "40", order a "42." Overall, the leather is made of high quality. The stiching is perfect also. I will definitely purchase more Aker products and recommend this item to my brothers and sister in law enforcement. Aker thumbs up on this belt!

*UPDATE* I just got this belt and it has worked great for a few days now
I just got this belt and it has worked great for a few days now. Being my first real duty belt with a buckle and not a plastic snap, it took me several minutes plus some stretching to get the hooks to fit right on the backside of the buckle but I mark that up to my noobness :) Once it's on and my belt keepers are in place this thing holds all of my gear VERY well, even at a sprint. I couldn't ask for more than that.*UPDATE* 3 Months in and this belt is STILL going strong. I've had to move the buckle in because of weight loss and now colleagues are asking about this professional-looking belt! I would definitely buy this belt again.

Terrible
Super thin and the hooks are completely garbage.

Perfect for LEO’s with smaller waists
Like most LEO’s with smaller waist circumferences, I had a hard time fitting all my of gear on my duty belt while also trying to keep my lower back free from any bulky equipment. Luckily there is no wide-mouth leather overlap near the metal buckle hooks, which allowed me to easily feed the extra notches underneath my magazine pouch. This allowed me to move all of my other gear around towards my front and still while keeping the silver buckle visible.

First time duty belt owner
Bought for non-LEO use. This thing is awesome!! Sturdy and looks great. Combine with matching belt keepers and you’ve got a beautiful rig. Other Velcro/nylon/plastic belts might be easier to use but this is so classic. Leather loosens up and you get use to the clasping system.
