Great way to make filter coffee. Just be aware that the silicone grip is not firmly attached to the filter and could be easily lost which would make the filter uncomfortable to move when hot.

I am a veteran coffee drinker (45-plus years) and enjoy a quality cup every morning. I don't claim to be a knowledgeable aficionado but I do know what I like. I've had drip, french press, mocha pot, and other equipment and have for the past five years or so used a one-cup pour-over routine. I've used paper filters in a ceramic cone and recently purchased this filter and I'm a big fan. I grind whole bean with a Baratza Virtuoso burr grinder set at 29 or 30, and I buy medium and dark roast and mix it at a 50/50 ratio.This filter is well made. It pours significantly faster (a time-saver in the morning) than paper filters. It is easy to clean (I use a bristle dish brush from OXO). It doesn't require composting or throwing away two paper filters every day (one for me and one for my wife) or buying them. Best of all, though, the flavor of the coffee is superior; smoother, richer, really good. At the settings above I get a little bit of fine sediment in my cup but I drink it and like it. The size of this filter is best, I think, for one cup because it allows ample target for pouring without having to be too careful.In every way I like this filter and the price is a real bargain.

This filter was compared with Sivaphe brand 18/8 SS. Poured boiling water to equal portions of coffee and let drip. During pouring Sivaphe leaked but E-Prance didn't probably because of the honeycomb design. E-Prance filtered slowly than Sivaphe. Taste test: E-Prance tested better coffee than Sivaphe. However, Sivaphe maintained heat better and felt hotter than E-Prance. In terms of design, E-Prance looked better but has less sheen than Sivaphe. Sivaphe also has a rubber bearing around the filter stand unlike E-Prance. E-Prance comes with a brush unlike Sivaphe. If you like great tasting coffee, choose E-Prance. If you are in a hurry, choose Sivaphe. If you don't want your furniture scratched, choose Sivaphe. If you want sheerness, choose Sivaphe. My choice is E-Prance because I love the filtered taste. If I want it hot, I will place my mug into the microwave for one minute on high heat. Enjoy!

I use this product 5 days a week at work. It's fantastic. Here are few things I really enjoy:- I love that it is stainless steel, and not plastic. Also, there is no need for coffee filters, as the holes are small enough to let liquid through, but keep even espresso-sized coffee grounds in the filter and out of your cup of joe.- It is incredibly easy to clean. Judge if you like, but I usually just dump the grinds in the compost bin, run it under water, and dry it.- I'm happy to save $2-3 a day while still drinking great (also, strong) coffee. Because I use it only for myself, a bag of coffee can last 2-3 weeks. Because I buy decent coffee, usually Peets, Starbucks, etc. this means that I'm spending about 50 cents per day. - Under normal use, this product will last me a long time. I don't think it is indestructible, but I can't imagine anything happening to it unless it was squashed under something heavy or stepped on. Even then it's really simple and would still work bent.I rarely leave five star reviews, my two other reviews today were 3 and 4 stars, but this product is by all means worth the rating and the money.

A really beautiful piece of machinery beautifully made and functions perfectly could have a drip plate at the bottom of the frame that you can take out. A superb item and a really excellent price.
