I really like this case. It's one of the few that sensibly holds the iPad to be vertical on the table, in a book-like orientation, rather than horizontal. The iPad rotates around the case bracket which holds the apple logo, and padded indentations in the cover hold it. It's not the robust "hold" that the magnet-based cover/stands provide, but it's fine for normal use (like reading at the table).Personally, the the fact that it doesn't engage the iPad's magnets is a "plus" to me. (I had a case that held my iPad upright via its side magnet, and after barely 4 months of putting the iPad in-and-out of that holder I had to replace my iPad after the iPad magnets apparently went screwy and zotzed the display.) It's leather, not metal, so a bit less robust than metal stands. But it protects the unit in my carry bag and I've never had it fall or otherwise be wimpy in use. Have used it for almost 10 months.Regarding reviews that it doesn't stay on: You have to push the iPad apple logo into the round bezel (shown in product image). Then it stays on. I have no clue, though, what the "auto sleep/wake function" in the product title means: I think that's a copy/paste error or something because this unit is entirely non-mechanical.

Really nice iPad case for the 9.7 inch model. It provides protection for the front and back of the iPad and a elastic band to keep it closed when not in use.When opened for use there’s two groves that allows different viewing angles and you can rotate the iPad to either landscape or portrait mode with this design.

I like the protection. I like the color. Also, like the fit. Don’t like the fact automatic close and shut down feature. Doesn’t always work. I don’t like the standing feature. It slide over the bumps ALL THE TIME because The material is smooth and silky.

This cover has a magnet that is sensed by the IPad and puts it to sleep when you close the cover. Unfortunately, it does not work as efficiently as the magnet in the Apple cover. I closed the cover and put my iPad in my brief case. Instead of remaining asleep, apparently my iPad awoke and kept trying to log on with out the pass code. The iPad disabled itself after several unsuccessful attempts to log on with out the proper code (a built in security function). Supposedly you can restore the iPad from your computer, but mine had to go to the Apple store where it took three computers and three attempts to restore the function. Then I had to restore from the last back up and I lost some material that had not been backed up. I am using my old Apple supplied case again.

Purchased this black rotating Ipad Case for my son for his new Ipad. The design is nice--Flips around nicely for the different options of viewing and has a nice strap to secure closure. It's obviously not real leather which certainly was not expected, but it is a nice sturdy case.I've bought MANY cases for Ipods and Ipads and have always been happily surprised to get a nice case for the cost.With that said there are some negatives to this case:1.) The case swivels so it will swivel to the "inside" cover and not the harder leather. This drives me crazy because my son will try to close it and it will basically be inside out. I wish they had made it so it wouldn't flip "inside out". It still will close, but it looks ridiculous!!2.) This case is rather proof quality. The "leather" is peeling off and cracking. It started doing this in the FIRST week of use.Again, In comparing all the cases that I have purchased--I will NOT purchase this case again and definitely do not recommend it. There are so many better options out there. It's not a bad case--but it is short lived!!!!
