SITKAGear Men's Cold Weather Camouflage Merino Glove, Optifade Subalpine, M (90250)

Great product medium fits my small hands perfectly. The gloves are surprisingly warm to be as thin as they are. If I could make one suggestion to Sitka it would be to use the touch screen technology on this glove.

These are pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I own the Fanatic gloves and can’t stand them. I hunt with a hinge release so having the index finger and thumb cut out really doesn’t do much for me, except let the cold air hit my skin. Being a bow Hunter, I don’t like thick gloves. Just something to shield my hands from the bitter cold. These do a good job of that.As far as durability, I wouldn’t be climbing stands and grabbing tree limbs with these. They’re a liner glove so they aren’t meant for that. They have a index and thumb finger pad that allows me to use my phone. I ordered a medium because I want a tight fit since I shoot with a hinge. These actually feel a little loose. It’s not a super stretchy material. My only real complaint with them is the material. It’s very slick much like the fanatic gloves. I was dragging a deer out of the woods last week and has to take my gloves off because it kept slipping out of my hands.Don’t buy these expecting to keep your hands toasty warm because that’s not the purpose of them. They are reasonably warm for what they are.

Echoing what others have mentioned; these are thin gloves and do not keep your hands warm. You'll feel a 10mph wind through these gloves. They fit true to size (a M for me) and you can use your touchscreen device. Ultimately these are nice gloves, but not worth the outrageous prices Sitka charges for them.

Warm but lightweight & not bulky!

I have been hunting deer for several years and I like trying new camouflage patterns every so often. I purchased a complete set of Sitka optifade as it was advertised as being invisible to deer at 15 ft elevation or higher. The first thing I did was wash my gear in Ofer reducing soap. I store all my gear in scent lock bags with a fresh dirt smell. The first time I used this camo a buck walked out in front of me at about 40 yds and just stared at me before trotting away. Later that day I checked my trail cam and discovered that I was highly fluorescent. I trued using ultraviolet blockers but due to the waterproof nature it would not absorb. I went back to my old camo leafy wear and killed the buck the next weekend and he didn’t even look at me twice. I am very disappointed with the performance of Sitka gear.
