Slivers are so small!
My 15 yo American Bulldog and 9 mo Pug love the tasty Piggy Slivers. These silvers are a one-bite treat for my bulldog and on the small-size treat for my pug. In my option, the slivers are not worth it and too small to be a good value for your money.

Cheaper and Healthier than Whole Pig Ears
Here's the thing: dogs love pig ears more than any treat I have ever found, but a whole pig ear contains an awful lot of sodium. And...have you ever tried to cut a smoked, dried pig ear, which is how they're sold, into pieces? I already know my poor hands would lose that struggle. So for Ox the impossible giant beagle puppy, training is important, and goodness knows, he needs it, but I want this dog to live a long, long time, and what we feed them early in life can make a difference. Giving him a little strip of pig ear is both cheaper and healthier, and I do believe he is just as happy with a piece of piggy ear as he would be with the whole gigantic thing. So this time, instead of ordering one package of these things, I ordered 4 bags, and now I should be set till after the holidays. I give him other treats in between that have less sodium, but when I really want to make an impression, this is what I use.

Our "boys" enjoy these for a "special" treat.
These are large enough to give our dogs the feeling that they're really being given a "reward." :)

Addictive dog chew
We have a 10 week old cockapoo puppy who is biting everything. I thought I would try these to distract him from our fingers and toes. I tried one as a test today, against my wife's wishes. The dog loved it, but way too much: when taken away after 15 minutes Poochie spent the next 10 minutes looking for it; even crying a bit. After that amount of "forget" time we gave him a baby carrot as we have previously, and will continue to use that as his evening chew treat. We are throwing the pig's ears away. Nothing against them in general, we just don't want to raise a "junkie".

Good quality, but pointy, pointy pieces
Overall, I'm pleased with the quality of these chews. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because a number of the strips are cut in such a way that they have sharp slender points. I have 2 Springer Spaniel pups that love these things so much that they try to gulp them down without much chewing. I keep a close eye on my pups while they eat these chews to ensure that they don't get caught in their throats. We have had one get caught in the roof of the mouth. I sometimes smash the points with a hammer just for my own peace of mind. The dogs love 'em. I have to keep them in the laundry room because they can smell them (I can't) if I keep them in the kitchen which leads to begging and pawing.

By far their favorite treat! The alpha will stand in front of ...
We have 2 Boxadors, and they are crazy about these. By far their favorite treat! The alpha will stand in front of me and start loudly speaking, saying "I've got to have a piggy sliver right now" (my wife calls them piggy-wiggys). We let them have 3 a piece everyday. What's odd though is the larger bag with 40 pieces is $17.99 (45 cents ea.) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006344DK?keywords=piggy%20sliver&qid=1455410784&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 and the smaller bag with 24 pieces is $9.89 (41 cents ea.). You would think since the larger bags has less packaging and labor than 3 smaller bags, that the larger bags should have more pieces and cost less than 41 cents ea. NOT 45 cents. Please rethink because we would love the get a deserved price break on the large bags, not "slight of hand" pricing.

A little big, but my Doggo adores them!
As stated in the title, these are a little big, but then again, my dog is probably 15 pounds. I cut them up into smaller pieces and it works just fine. I give one to my little furbaby each weekday morning before I leave for work and he is appeased. He has a nice treat to distract him while I'm gone, and I know he'll be less inclined to destroy my furniture due to boredom. Douglas seems to love the taster, too!

Quality product, Poor packaging
The product looks like good quality pig ears. I bought this brand specifically because the ears are cut small enough for my dogs (10-16lbs). Only dinged one star due to poor packaging. The side seam of the bag was busted open when the package arrived. Doesnโt look like the quality is affected, but had to rebag the treats right away as I bought it as a Christmas present for the dogs.
