The height is 6". Total height with spices on it would be 11 l/2 inches.

Q: Do the support poles detach from the trays?

My son bought this for me, However it came with the top and bottom turntable BUT no poles and screws to put it together, Amazon sent a replacement, However same scenario no poles or hardware included, just a lonely top and bottom. I believe its not meant for me to have and use. false advertising with this so called great swiveling spice rack. don't waste your money and TIME!
