GrillPro 50335 Porcelain Coated Adjustable Cooking Grid, Black

I bought this grate because I have a super old grill with a 12×22 size grill. This was the closest one i could find to size. Notice in picture I trimmed new grate to width with a bolt cutters and interlaced some of the extender pieces back in for support. Seems sturdy. You'll see a fair amount of the coating come off in the handling and cutting of the grate. I wouldn't consider it good quality at all nor do I expect it to last forever. But I gave it 4 stars because it was the closest fit i could find. BTW I would have serious reservations if you are buying this and plan to extend it all the ways. Seems pretty floppy. Just my opinion. I didn't use it like that though.

Seems that grill grates are not being stocked at the big stores anymore. They want you to buy a new grill for a ludicrous amount of money.. I have had mine since 2005. Yes its time for an upgrade but this will transfer over to a new one with ease. Steaks, chicken, no problem.

Not what i expected. Followed instructions and oiled it before using. Ceramic coating flakes off. Health issue. I don't know how to post pic but wish i did. P.O.S. to the 10nth degree. Amazon needs to ban this vender.

Bought this to replace a worn old crusty and rusty grilling surface on an old Sunbeam grill. Could not have been happier with the results. Only needed to expand the grate a bit to make it a perfect fit, and it worked marvelously. The expanding sections also come out very easily for easier cleaning or if you just don't need them. I was surprised to see that the grate is actually made of flat sections, not the usual round pieces that most grill surfaces are made of. I think that made everything come out just that much better. Compared to the price and bother of trying to find a direct manufacturer replacement, this is an excellent alternative.

I like the adjustability feature. Was able to make it fit onto my Weber. It's a heavy duty cooking grid and appears to be well made. Time will tell. The tiny pins that come with it for locking it into place are useless. I ended up using some heat treated galvanized wires and wrapping this wiring along the cross bars in the horizontal and vertical axis. This insured a perfect fit and made the grid stable. So now I can scrub it, remove it and not have to worry about it drifting / shifting out of alignment. Would have given a 5 out of 5 rating if the manufacturer had provided the appropriate / better hardware to set and fit this grid into proper alignment.

The grill grates are expandable in each direction. On the long side it comes with these small spring clips to clip onto the ends of the rods so they don't slide in and let the grate fall to the inside of the grill. On the short side it is simply a tight fit between the flat bars to hold the size. I've only used it a few times but so far it has done well. It fits in the grill nicely and doesn't move around, and the grill surface itself is nice and flat. It is also pretty heavy, which should help with warping. My old grates were lightweight and would warp under the heat.

Like adjusting size. Grilling comes out great, like the grid design better than the roundedones

With the movable sides, this grid is great for quick replacement, to lengthen the life of your gas grill.Its tough to clean but if you prep grid with cooking oil prior to cooking, it helps.
