Okay. Look at the pic.Same product old v. new. On the left is a much laundered 1+ year old protector.I am not GROSS, but spills and bodily fluids happen.We sweat at night.We copulate.Some of us urinate.They leave stains.BUT NOT ON THE MATTRESS WITH THIS PROTECTOR.This product IS waterproof.I am certain there are plenty of competitors that are just as good...but I would not try something else because I know this works.Just remember that when putting it on/taking it off (mine is king size) get help. The underside is thin and the zipper construction is a little flimsy.My old one ripped in several places on the bottom, but that is irrelevant.It is also not crinkly. Maybe a little, but I use really thin sheets.It does not sleep hot, either. Rather neutral.I’ve also been too lazy/too in a hurry to put a fitted sheet on at times and have gotten on/off it directly.Okay, sue me.That is where some of the FILTH came from.HA!5 stars

Helps keep my kids mattresses clean. Pretty easy to put on the mattress and have put it through the wash.

Perfect fit, but not as durable.
This product fit very well, but is not as durable. The seams started separating on one corner while attempting to place on the mattress, and yes I ordered the correct size. The zipper is slightly flimsy.

This is a great, inexpensive product. I bought one last year, and just bought another one for another bed. I've washed and dried the older one, three times without any issue.I recommend this mattress cover as it covers the whole thing. Which is important to me since my cats like sleeping under my bed. And as someone who eats in bed 🐷, it is indeed waterproof!

Worst item ever purchased
It is extremely difficult to put on the bed and it has only been on for a couple of minutes and it is plenty big. But putting my sheets on and it now has come apart in 3 seams on 3 sides. We were very gentle putting it on and now it is pretty much useless since it is open on 3 sides. We use these for extreme allergies and clean the bed often and all of the others have withstood for around 6-9 months. We change them at least every 9 months and this is now going to cost me the time and money of purchasing a new one. Do not waste your money on this item. Horrible.

Item was received with a broken zipper. Unfortunately there was no time for us to request a replacement and had to manage with a broken zipper.
