Good cot, needs better instructions
So, first of all: The cot is sturdy, it holds my weight very well, and it's comfortable. It also packs down ridiculously small - we're talking smaller than a rolled up sleeping bag - which makes it very easy to take on trips. My roommate's dogs also like to sleep on it whenever we have it laying out. I think they think it is their bed. However, two drawbacks. First is the weight - it's a metal cot, so naturally it's gonna weigh too much for backpacking. The other drawback is a little stranger, and it's only really a drawback the first time you use it. Simply put - The set-up instructions could be better. I had to watch a youtube video to figure it out. HOWEVER, once you have it figured out, setup and take down is a breeze, so it's only that first time that you'll struggle with. I recommend practicing at home before you take it on its first trip.

Buen catre
Es un catre pesado para transportar, pero cómodo, no es para llevar cargando grandes distancias

Incredibly comfortable, sturdy, and very well made
This is an excellent cot. (I'm referring to the universal camp cot, 85 x 32 x 19.) It is easy to set up, solid, stable, very comfortable, and very well made. I spent hours researching cots and this looked like the best one, but I hesitated to spend this much money on a cot. Now I am so glad I did. My husband didn't want one but after trying out mine he absolutely had to have it, so I bought one for him. These are excellent quality and worth the money--we expect they will last for years and years. A good investment. We also got the pads, which make them even more comfortable, though the cots are great without them. If you're not sure, try it without the pad--you can always phase in a pad if you want extra cushion. We camp at least once per month and are much more comfortable using these than air mattresses, which take time to inflate/deflate, are not all that comfortable, and are terrible during cold weather as the air in the mattress gets so cold you need a heavy layer of insulation between your bag and the mattress or you'll be very uncomfortable. Given that, we now use these cots as impromptu guest beds instead of air mattresses, to great effect. Also, it's nice to be off the ground in these cots--not only can you stash stuff out of the way beneath the cot, you simply don't worry that something might crawl into your sleeping bag. Given that last, I am perfectly comfortable sleeping outside on one of these with no tent, which is awesome. A last point--I found the manufacturer's video on their website about how to set up and take down the cot to be helpful, as these are made a little bit differently than the traditional cot. I recommend spending a couple of minutes checking out their video.

Large and Heavy but Sturdy and Comfortable
This cot is definitely big and sturdy. My partner and I are both under 5' 11" and less than 165 lbs, we ordered 2 of Sports Adventurer Camp Cot and they were HUGE. We loved all the extra space for sleeping and they really did help keep us off the cold ground in the Grand Canyon and in Yellowstone. The set up is super easy if you read the instructions and watch the helpful video on their website. They are heavy and take up quite a bit of storage space, but for such a sturdy and large cot, I think it's worth it. We used our mallet for driving tent stakes as a lever to get the last bar on. My only piece of advice is to get a tent large enough so that you have enough room to keep them in. Our 9'x7' tent was just barely big enough to fit them with standing room left. Only bad thing I have to say is that Amazon shipped one in a perfectly sized box, but shipped the other in a box that allowed for way too much movement. The delivery box was basically shredded by the time the cot arrived because the cot is so heavy, so anytime it was moved it punctured the box.
