Golden State Art, Acid Free, Pack of 10 11x14 Black Picture Mats Mattes with White Core Bevel Cut for 8x10 Photo + Backing + Bags

I have ordered and returned this product twice in the last week. Both times I have had to return the product because of bent and mangled corners on the mats themselves. I have also had mysterious white streaks across the face of the black mats that would not brush or wipe off. I have ordered these same mats in the white and had no problems, but for some reason I cannot get a usable set of the black mats.

I ordered these to frame transparencies for art students to "see" what their pictures would look like so they could avoid drawing what their left brains THOUGHT things should look like. The first box I ordered, though, looked like it only had 5 frames in it and I returned it. When the second box looked exactly like the first I opened the clear plastic covering to discover that they are packed back to back, so there are really 10 in the box. This, I assume, is done to keep the black part from rubbing off on the white part in transit. So, they worked very well with normal 8x10 transparencies and Mission Accomplished. I am sorry I didn't completely open the first box as I could have saved myself a lot of trouble.

I had purchased these before in white, but I needed black ones for my project. Extremely well packaged to prevent damage. They are in a sturdy box with an insert to keep them from being banged around and they are shrink wrapped. These are beautiful mats. True black with a nice crisp white line along the inner edge. I will always purchase my mats from here. Excellent pricing, you pay double or triple per piece at a store. A+

As a beginner portrait artist, these ARE PERFECT to ship portraits out to clients who don't want the glass frame!! the framing part is nice. it's exactly what I've been looking for. The price is the best. the plastic bag is a little fragile and ripped at the top when trying to insert the mat and backing but the seal made it not so bad. these are perfect for me. I love that they come in packs. I should've ordered more just to stock up, but once I get these portraits completed and ready to ship out to my clients, I WILL be ordering more. Thanks!!

I use these constantly to package my original artwork that people have purchased. I don’t always use the framing mat, but it’s nice to have. The clear plastic and hard back make me feel reassured that my art will get to its destination unscathed. And each time, it has!

I am normally very happy with Golden State Arts Products but I have had a few order where the corners are damaged. I am a professional photographer and can not use these for my photos and sell to my clients. This would not be acceptable 😐Rather disappointed

This was my first time purchasing these so I didn't know you have to assemble them yourself (apply adhesive or tape) but I didn't mind. I simply searched youtube tutorials to learn how to assemble them properly. The quality of this product is outstanding. (I used them for my art prints) The material is very sturdy & clean cut. I would recommend these. Love that it comes as a bundle. Convenient. Fast shipping. Will be purchasing again...

The outer box is convenient to keep everything from getting damaged. The plastic sleeves have the adhesive strip on the back instead of on the flap which is much better since it will not damage the artwork if it is taken out and replaced.

Arrived quickly and I like the frames but one frame has a stain of some sort so it's unusable and some of the packaging is severely wrinkled.
