Q: Drain package did not come with both gaskets (a&b). how do i obtain larger gasket?

Q: Does this have sort of two modes: one to catch hair, and one to stop the drain and hold water in?

It doesn’t catch hair, but if it is pushed down in the stop position, it would prevent hair from going down the drain. You would then have to remove the hair from the stopper, before opening it. To catch hair, I use a mesh strainer that fits into the drain opening.
