Barry M Cosmetics Banana Smooth Loose Setting Powder

This wasn’t the best setting powder for my skin. I have slightly combination (normal/dry) skin and as a lady in her mid 30s a few fine wrinkles. This left me looking cakey and Felt they accentuated my wrinkles around my eyes. Maybe it doesn’t work well with my foundation (body shop moisture foundation) but I won’t be purchasing again.

I used this for the first time a few weeks back & it set me like a stone 👌. Which is essential with the heatwave in the UK 🇬🇧. I went to a friend's birthday party in Essex, at the height of the heat wave (July 22), sweated in places that I didn't know could sweat in 35 degrees Celsius anddddddd my make-up didn't budge!

I bought this to use for a Halloween make up look and wound up using it for some everyday make up for work. You need to be careful how much you use, because it does leave a bit of a white cast if you don't sheer it out after application.It is really comfortable on the skin though, when sheered out it does get make up looking smooth and soft. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin, but I do feel it a little more than some other setting powders I've used before. That being said, Barry M prices are fab, and the make up does the trick, it's just getting used to the formulas more than anything.

This is okay... ive never used a translucent loose powder before so I cant really compare it to others and I dont know whether this is just a loose powder thing, but I found this to make my skin feel quite dry when baking under the eyes to set my concealer. However I've found that if you then use a setting spray on top (I use the rimmed ready set go 2 in 1 setting spray as its really hydrating) it fixes the issue. So for the price I can live with it using this trick :) one little nag also is that the lid Is attached to the tub by a hinge so it does make it slightly difficult to get enough powder out to bake. But yeah otherwise, for the price I cant complain too much. It sets my make up all day, doesnt crease and doesn't give flash back or leave a white residue on my skin.

I call this the magic powder. I do all my foundation and concealer and powder it into place with this product and I tell you, my skin looks flawless. If you have super dry skin may sure you exfoliate as it can show up dry skin.
