PLG Brass 3/4" Hose Repair Connector with Clamps, Male and Female Garden Hose End Repair Fittings 2 Set

I picked this product over the others for the following reasons:- description is very clear: "connector OD is 19mm", fit hose ID of 19mm, for the 3/4" hose of 19.1mm.- from the image, the stem is longer than other products, which gives installation more bufferInstallation is easy, I did put a couple of layers of Teflon tape in the following locations to further prevent leakage:- male connector, before connecting to female connector- stem, before insert into garden hose, to catch up the 0.1mm (19.1mm - 19mm)The female connector already comes with a seal ring, but the package include another seal sing for each set. 2 sets per package.How durable it is, don't know yet. Looks pretty sturdy. Will come back to provide further comments if having other findings.

I thought this size should work, but couldn’t force it together, until I found a YouTube video which shows how to do it. To make the female side work, I needed to soak the hose in boiling hot water for a few minutes, then I was able to stretch the hose enough to fit it in place. I fastened it down as securely as possible and it has held without any leaking. So far, it’s been an easy cheap alternative to replacing the whole hose.

Brass fittings are nice quality. They are slightly undersized for a high quality 3/4 inch hose making them very easy to install. I would prefer larger so you don't have to rely on tightening the hose clamp excessively to stop leakage. The real issue with this set is the included stainless steel screw clamps - they deformed and broke while tightening before the repair stopped leaking - had to use a higher quality stainless steel clamp I already had. Would buy again but would hope better clamps are included.

Quality solid brass. Heavy enough to be durable. Not a big fan of hose clamps but what are you going to do. I've used them to repair hoses and to make custom sized hoses.

The plastic alternative sold at Home Depot is typically intended for 5/8" diameter hose as well as 3/4" hose. This does not work well for 3/4" hose. These 3/4" hose repair clamps work better than the plastic repair connectors from Home Depot.

Connectors fit perfectly in my Gilmour 3/4" garden hose - not to tight and not too loose. Snugged up the clamps and had a perfect leak-free repair. Very pleased.

Just what I wanted

Very tight fit. Used dish soap as lube. First ones I've ever used that did not leak right off the bat. Good product so far.
