This is my second RC car from this vendor and they are both awesome. The other car was about ½ the price, so I was interested to see what the extra $40 got me. The short answer is (even) higher quality and higher speed.Packaging: Arrived in perfect condition All of the plastic surfaces come with a protective plastic coating that can be removed. This means it arrives in great shape. It also came with a nice storage/travel bag for the battery which was the first bonus I didn’t know was coming.Batteries: You get 2 batteries which will give you a solid 40 minutes of playing with it (less if you are running it full speed constantly). The batteries take ~2-3hr to charge each. It came with 2 charging cables. This was a big second bonus! This allows you to charge both of the batteries up at the same time (e.g. overnight). You also get a special offer when you register for the warranty to get even more batteries. The batteries came charged which was also nice so when we opened the car it was straight into the fun rather than having to wait 3 hours to charge. The charging cables like the rest of the car feel very robust and have not one small indicator, but 3 giant LEDs that are red when charging and green when charged…Easy!Control: The car's controls are easy to master and my 5, 8, and 11 years old all love playing with this car. You can adjust the steering from the hand controller (e.g. if it wants to go to the left or right when you are trying to make it go straight, you can adjust it). The controller is a good size and weight. The car came with batteries for the controller too. My neighbor said ‘we had RC cars growing up, but nothing like that!’ This thing is fast and zippy!Durability: The car feels solid. Having used the car for ~6hr drive time we have sent it flying over ramps and crashed it into a few mailboxes and it has not been damaged in any way. Both the front and back of the car have been designed to withstand substantial impact. It also has some pretty hefty suspension that allows it to be driven over rough terrain without issue. The car comes with a manual showing you all of the parts and in the event it broke, you can get replacement parts. (it even came with a few extra screws and chassis pins in case anything shakes loose over time).A few things you might want to think about…This is a fast car! I think the age range of 8+ is justified. My 5 year old likes the car, but would probably do better with a slower model. My 8-year-old had no trouble with it. It is designed for going over solid ground (like blacktop/dirt). If you only have grass to use it on, you will want a model with greater clearance between the ground and the body. Like other ‘hobby grade’ car, the on/off switch is under the chassis of the vehicle (helps protect the electronics from water). You need to remove a couple of pins to get to it. Not a problem, but does make it a little more involved to turn it on and go.The production of this car is great with some very nice unexpected extras – sometimes you see pictures before buying and then the actual product does not live up to expectations. This far exceeded my expectations.

Bought this for my 7 year old. Hes pretty hard on toys so getting an ultra expensive RC was out of the question. This is definitely making the boy happy but doesn't make me happy.1. Battery life is subpar! Gets about 15 or less off 1 charge. Much less than adverted. Luckily we bought 2 extra batteries so we have 4 total but this still doesn't give unlimited play time because it takes about 3 hrs to charge a battery.2. On/off switch. So it's a bit of a task to change the battery on the truck. Take out the hood pins, and the plastic cover holding the battery in place. The plastic cover is a pill to get off. I have to use something to play it off. But the worst part is the on/off switch is by the battery. So just to turn it on or off you have to complete the task of getting into the battery area. And knowing how quickly the battery dies you don't want to just leave it on if not in use. But that's what you'll do.3. Hood clips are too small and just a matter of time until they are lost.

Wow! I tried few other RC cars but this one seems to be of a different experience. It's very smooth and I can drift like crazy. The tires are firmly sealed to the wheels and I'm sure I gonna wear them away. It's a bit pain to open chasis every time to replace the battery and keep the hooks in place. The battery seems to die a bit quick but I'm fine with that. I need to check how long it will last, I purchased the 2 yr warranty if anything fails. Quite happy with the purchase and the price.

Got this as a Christmas gift and I enjoy it so much that it has me buying another, more powerful model by the same brand. I would recommend this product to someone who wants to learn how fun RC cars can be without having to break the bank. No real upgrade path, but this car doesn’t really need one as it is purpose built to be a fun little entry level basher.Ready to run, right out of the box. The lipo batteries came charged and it even came with two AA batteries for the transmitter! Super fun and easy to play with. Most everything on it is serviceable, fixable, or replaceable. Bezgar makes it easy to register the product online, so do so right away and then the customer service is responsive and helpful when you need parts later. I take it to bike jumps, pump tracks, skate parks, and on trails. It handles any reasonable terrain you can throw at it. This car will fly off a ramp with such style and grace, once you get skilled with the transmitter. You will crash it, and it will break, and you can fix it!Cons :Screws are brittle and not always screwed all the way in, so be sure to check them.The screws the hold the linkage for the wheels together are too small and end up pulling through the holes. I fixed this with very small washers on the bottom screws to keep them from pulling through.Battery changing could be made a bit easier and the compartment for the batteries can damage the cables if you are not careful.Can be difficult to control if you don’t finesse the throttle.Will break when you crash at high speed and poor angles.Be careful with the drivetrain as the gears are plastic.Pros :Ready to play with out of the box.Inexpensive but not “cheap”.Quick acceleration and fast.Proportional control.Durable construction.Water resistant.Easy to repair.Customer service when parts break is exemplary, sent me what I needed with no extra charge.The company seems committed to improving the products and to keeping the one you purchased working for a long time.

Wow. This is very well made. I've owned numerous hobby grade RCs over the years and for the price I cannot believe the quality and very well thought out design. I love the clam shell body design and the chassis build too. Top to bottom this is a terrific machine that I'll get many hours of enjoyment from.Update. After running this truck I have to say, the performance is amazing! It has a posi-traction rear end with limited slip which provides smooth power and dirt biting acceleration! So far not one scratch on it. It's very stable because it has a wide stance which is very nice and it has very well tuned oil filled shocks. This is my best RC purchase of 2020. Great company and customer service.
