Cardale DC Series Garage Door Operator Handsets (433MHz)

Works just fine! We bought this fob as a "like for like" spare. It looks absolutely identical to the 2 original fobs we already own. Very easy to set up - it comes with instructions- you just connect the original and new fobs together using a little 3 pronged device that comes with the new fob, connecting them side by side using 3 little holes in the edge on either side of the fob. (See picture- I always wondered what purpose those holes served!) Then press the relevant buttons, (as per the instruction sheet), the lights flash and it is all done in a few seconds. (The original is "copied" to the new fob, but retains its information, so they will both work!)The replacement also comes with a metal clip that can be attached to the back of the fob, so it can be clipped into a car sun visor etc, but I didn't use that bit of the kit.According to the information on Amazon, there are different frequency fobs and this needs to be checked before you buy. With this fob, the frequency information is stamped/printed onto the back. As our original fobs were both well used and a bit worn, the information was hard to see. We have had our original fobs for over 10 years and they still work fine. Hopefully, the new spare fob will prove to be just as reliable!When looking for a spare, I saw there are lots of other fobs on Amazon, shaped differently to this one and costing quite a bit less. However, I wanted a like for like fob. I've no idea if the other fobs can be programmed as easily as this one, which is very straightforward to pair with an "identical" original.

I’ve bought lots of cheep key fobs over the years, those that work usually pack up after a year and each has its own method of programming. My original Cardale fobs still work but are now cracked/broken/held together with tape so I decided to bite the bullet and bought this more expensive Cardale replacement.I’m glad I did. It’s immediately clear that this one is better made than the rest, easy to program and (so far) works well, even at a distance. Highly recommended.

Expensive replacement for a simple piece of tech. Does the job, but its extortionately priced. Would rate higher if it was cheaper.

I was so worried about buying this remote thinking that I'd surly waste £50. Our garage remote is 20 years old and the old type, with the one big red button and our only remote! I did think about buying a cheap Chinese replacement untill I Read a review that it wiped the code from his old one and he was locked out of the garage. Like the reviewer I also have no knowledge of our code so decided not to risk it and to buy the proper cardale with the transfer pin. It worked! I'd just like to say if you have the cardale remote with only one big red button then you need to buy the updated 4 button remote in red, NOT grey. Also, you don't need to buy the flexi cord to connect the old and new remotes (as one reviewer advised) the 3 prongs fit into the new remote but the other 3 prongs don't fit the old remote. Just hold them touching the holes on the old remote whilst following the instructions. It only took 1 second and the code was accepted. (Just a shame about the price!)

The original door remotes were one button, but used a plastic mount for the sun visor that always broke.Like most people, I only need one button, but these four-button versions are the only ones available. However, they do have the advantage of a metal mount that doesn't break.

We had two old style one red button remotes and one of them had stopped working so we purchased this as a replacement.A quick search on google and less than 5 minutes later we now have a working remote!Pricey but it works!

Does what it says good product

The tiny 'key' included in the package enables easy copying of the signal programming from an existing remote onto the new remote. Brilliant.
