Worked Perfectly
I had some dark brown sugar in an “airtight” container for a while. The sugar turned hard as a brick 🧱 and I could hardly scrape it out. I prepped one disk as directed and placed in the container. Within an hour the sugar was starting to soften. I forgot about it and checked again a couple weeks later and all the sugar was softened up and ready for regular use. My only issue is that it’s made in China 👎 didn’t say in the description.

Works fantastic!
I just got this set of 3 disks about a week ago. I soaked one for about 15 minutes in warm water like the instructions indicate and then placed it in my container of brown sugar (long since had hardened and I thought this would be a good test). I just put it right on top the brown sugar. After a few days, I remembered it and checked the brown sugar consistency. It was just like it had come out of the package- all moist and soft again. Since I had placed the disk directly on the brown sugar, some of it turned white and clumped up because most of the water in the disk seeped out quickly due to directly contacting the brown sugar.Since the brown sugar had softened up nicely and the disk was dry, I removed the disk and soaked it for another 15 minutes in warm water. This time I placed a small amount of cling wrap on top of the brown sugar and then placed the disk on it. That way, the moisture will still be able to slowly absorb into the brown sugar instead of all at once like it did when the disk was laying in the brown sugar.I also placed one of these moistened disks in my licorice jar to keep it nice and soft. Wish I'd gotten these years ago instead of throwing out hard brown sugar and hardened licorice.

These work beautifully!
I had one of these in the past and someone threw it out in an uninvited purging of my possessions (why would a contractor renovating my bedroom care what was in my cabinets?!). I can say from the top: THIS WORKS!! It has kept my brown sugar good to the last sprinkle. The site from where I had purchased my original now sells it with an overpriced and unnecessary jar, so I was thrilled to find these. I had only wanted one, and while I didn't want to pay for three, it was worth it for all the brown sugar it saves. On the day it arrived I ended up giving one away, then later read in a packing insert that it also works well for raisins. It does! Beautifully! Between dark and light brown sugar, regular and golden raisins and cranberries ... I will now end up purchasing more.If you're considering this: go for it! Worth the money, particularly with these additional applications.

Advertised as terra cotta. They are rooster designed discs to keep brown sugar soft
I really like the look of the rooster on each disc; but to be honest, I haven't had them long enough to give any comment on their usefulness. It would need to be months to be able to give an honest review of them. I don't know yet now often then need to be re-submerged to keep the brown sugar soft. Thank you

This brand gets moldy
Bought several of this brand and other brands for different designs. DON’T waste your money on this brand!!! Cute design, but gets moldy and other brands don’t. (I only used for about a month and checked them weekly - already moldy🤢

Good item
I accidentally threw out the two I already had and it took only days for the newly opened and tightly triple-wrapped bag of brown sugar to resemble a brick. So out went the new bag. I did two things: bought an airtight brown sugar container and this set of disks to use with it. Now it's three months later and I can still dip into the container with a spoon and have lovely crumbly brown sugar to use however I want. If you haven't tried these disks you should. I highly recommend an airtight container, too - one or the other isn't enough for longer term storage . Highly recommended for anyone who would like to use a just-bought bag of brown sugar more than once before having to throw it out and buy another one.

great little kitchen item
This is a wonderful little item. The common use is to use them to keep brown sugar moist, but as others have noted, if you have something you want to keep dry, you put a dry, unsoaked medallion in with it and it is supposed to absorb the humidity. (This is my feeling anyway, and I have one in with my chia seeds in the pantry. Not promising it is doing anything.) To keep the brown sugar moist, you have to resoak the medallion periodically. I like the idea someone had of buying these and giving them with a box of brown sugar as a gift. There were other versions, but I liked this because it came in a set of three and I knew that once I had it I would want more than one.

Wet or Dry
I love the versatility of these guys! Wet them for 15 minutes to keep your brown sugar nice and soft or toss them in dry, to protect your flour, salt, sugar from humidity
