Double Handled Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Round Tarte Tatin Dish Pan Mini Roasting Dish

So ... where to start? Even with the hefty import duty that I had to pay to get the dish to the UK, it was still good value compared to the well known French brand. I was so excited when it arrived that I followed the instructions to 'season' the pan to the letter. It took a full one hour and twenty minutes. So, imagine my disappointment when I opened the oven to discover a brown, ancient looking pan that looked like it had come from the back of grannies cupboard! So, DON'T season the pan in the way advised. I was so upset, I was going to return the pan, until I realised that it would probably cost a small fortune to return to the U.S. So, not to be defeated, I soaked it in a biological wash tab for three hours and used a gentle scourer to return it to it's previously pristine condition. Truly remarkable! Thus, proving that with some elbow grease these pans will probably last a lifetime and survive most disasters incurred by excited new owners! Have fun!

This is a really nice pan, we've used it for pies and tarts and stews and all sorts. Surprisingly versatile and very useful.It is heavy, i suspect dropping it on our tiles or hob would crack them, but then you just have to be careful, the weight also helps the heat be retained.

Mine arrived Monday 22nd February opened it yesterday evening chip on the bit where the handle meets the base disappointed. Have taken a picture but due to my limited computer skills l don't know how to put it on the computer to send to the suppliers so they can see the damage.
