Great product for offline cloning
Works well, the offline clone feature is very useful. I copied 120 gb SSD in under 5 minutes it is much faster than using a software clone. Also has no issues with cloning a windows disk partition. A software clone sometimes will not boot up, however using this device each drive sector is copied just like the original. Build quality is also well made, I would suggest keeping the plastic cover on when not in use, to keep the sata ports from collecting dust.

Eureka!
I work with computers often. I remember cloning and swapping Hard Drive in the past. If only I knew about this beauty years ago. For months now, I’ve been thinking about replacing my Nvidia Shield pro 500GB hard drive with an SSD drive. However, after watching several YouTube videos and reading several forums. I realized that swapping a non-windows drive wouldn’t be easy. The process was lengthy and require a Linux OS PC. Downloading several files and hoping that you were ready. Not only that, a single mistake would have turned my Shield into a very expensive paper weight.Thankfully, I found a YouTube video with a person using this little beauty. All, I can say is WOW! The long nights of cloning drives are over. This thing cloned my Shield drive in less than an hour and without a computer. Simply plug the original in slot A (top) and the destination drive on slob B (Bottom). No need to format the destination drive. Then Press and hold the clone button for 3 seconds. When you see the blue light flashing, let it go and quickly press and release the clone button again. That’s it!Now, walk away and enjoy a beverage of your choice or you could, sit and watch the flashing lights. First the 25% then 50%,75% and finally 100%. When the 100% light is solid. Turn off the device, remove the drive and install it in your device. Couldn’t be easier.

Faulty USB-C Cord
The included USB-C cord did not work whatsoever. Tried it on phones and other devices but would not work. Replaced with a spare I had and the docking station works as advertised.

Life Saver
This docking station was a life saver. Old Dell computer motherboard died but hard drive still viable. Bought new computer, this docking station, and then transferred all of my precious files to the new computer from the old hard drive. Worked like a dream! Moral of the story: back up all of your files on a stick or other drive FREQUENTLY. For files that you rarely need, keep them stored on a separate stick/USB/Flash drive so you aren't vulnerable to cyber attacks or motherboards that die.

Constantly disconnects ALL external drives
It's about time to write a review. I see this particular model is no longer sold. I purchased more of a SATA drive adapter than a drive cloner. The dock constantly disconnects. It began only while the system was unattended, but I have witnessed this in person. After a string of reset of all connected devices that I had connected through a Thunderbolt hub, I realized there was one common element: having drive activity on this particular docking station. All my accessory disconnects have stopped now that I have removed the dock from service. My original USB 3 drive dock continues to function reliably.I see now why the device is no longer sold.
