I bought this as a bit of an experiment.I could see the attachment was designed for a dynamic microphone, but I've got a condenser microphone, with the shock mount and weight of my microphone this wouldn't remain stood up.This is perfect if you've got a dynamic or shot gun microphone, it's a good quality weighty stand but if you've got a condenser then I'd opt for a mic arm.

For what I I paid, this stand is very good value. It functions as it should and looks good.It has a small base but that’s fine as it equals a small footprint in a home studio. Not something a pro on a huge budget would buy but for those of us in the real world it’s perfect.

I was seriously expecting a heavy base with plastic shaft, plastic screw and general bad quality. I was totally wrong. This thing is all high quality metal! Its really solid and holds my heavy microphone and shock mount with no problems. Top notch!

Great value for money as a simple replacement for the stand provided with the Snowball microphone. I use my microphone for podcasting but my desk does not allow for any desk mounted stands due to its size. The stand provided with the snowball is ok but sits very low on my desk. I now use this solid and appropriately weighted stand for my snowball microphone and pop shield. My microphone now sits on my desk at a much more user friendly height meaning no more bending forward to record vocals. It's well made for the price, features a telescopic height adjustment and solid metal base that is very heavy. Finished in a simple black this stand is simple and does what it says on the tin. I expect it will outlast the microphone.

Very sturdy, for a desk this is perfect because the extension actually helps a lot. The only thing that is stopping it from getting 5 stars is that the base needs something a little soft to stand on if you don't want the microphone to absorb noise from the table.
