This is one of the best red pens I have found.

Pilot, of course, makes quality pens. This pen doesn't blob or have to have the tip cleaned off before writing. It glides smoothly & easily across the paper. It makes cursive writing a pleasure. I have arthritis & am partially paralyzed. How hard a pen is to push across paper makes a big difference to me. Also how much effort is required to hold the critter so that it doesn't go on a solo writing adventure across my table....Yes the grip matters a lot to me. This has a good grip, slightly contoured, with that tiny, tiny bit of stickiness that makes it easier to hold. The grip is standard sized,not fat. The pen's total score is about an 8 out of 10 on my personal ergonomic-paralytic scale. I did not answer the "is this product GIFTABLE?" question. It looks like a nice everyday kinda work pen. However, if it were fancied up with an aluminum chassis, then yes, this would be an able-bodied 🎁 gift pen. Maybe PILOT already makes such a pen.

I bought these thinking they were gel pens and to my pleasant surprise they write amazing. Very nice ballpoint pens with specially formulated ink that glides on the page. They look nice too

I love these pens. They are my second favorite. Great quality and comfort. They are very opaque. My only complaint is the longevity of the ink. These pens are always running out before my others. Sometimes there are almost hiccups when writing with these. They will stop inking randomly when I am writing and there is still plenty of ink. Even though those two things happen, I still love this pen because of the quality and smoothness.
