Great add on to scout pro 3
If you have any of the Klein scout range with the toning function, this is a must have.The probe is powered by a 9v battery and is secured in a screwed compartment on the back. There is a quite powerful light on the front of it that is ultra handy when searching for cables in the back of patch panels. This can be turned on independently from the toning function.The volume level is controlled by two buttons and the highest levels is quite high and also can have a pair of headphones attached using a 3.5mm jack.The outer casing is very rugged and durable and does look like it will withstand a lot of use in all different kinds of environments.Overall, a very handy and well priced probe to pair with the Klein scout range.

Important tracing function defeated by shielded cabling
Read my review of the Klein tester, I describe how this probe can't be used to identify shielded cables in bundles or to trace the signal for fault location along these cables. It may perform well on un-shielded cable. Unfortunately, it doesn't do as it is supposed to and I will return it.

Best affordable toner ive used
This is the best affordable toner set i have used. From the moment you hold it you feel its quality. It beats the cheapo ones i have used previously.I cannot compare it to the Fluke series as I have not owned any fluke products yet.

No Tip replacement
Works fine, but beware if you need a new tip. The cheapest I found was on Amazon for £41.You can buy a new probe fo £49.95!
