GREAT SPACE-SAVING, TIME SAVING LENS FOOT
I bought this foot to use on my Sony 100-400 GM, with the Wimberley MonoGimbal Head and my Benro Mad38C monopod to support my Sony a9 during long sessions of surf action photography and bird photography. The foot is well-made, light, low profile, and set up to use safety screws with the arca-swiss system. Having an arca-swiss compatible lens foot makes attaching the camera/lens to the MonoGimbal Head super quick and easy. Because of the small clearance between the lens foot and the lens, mounting the MonoGimbal on the left side made it difficult to access the lens switches. So I moved the MonoGimbal to the right side of the lens. The switches, zoom and focus rings are then completely unobstructed and the system works perfectly.

Wonderful build quality
I love it. Great quality. Sturdy. Bought it to go with Wimberley gimbal, and a Sigma 150-600mm. I'm glad I opted for this design over the one other Wimberley option for this lens. You remove the plate that comes with the lens, and attach the Wimberley. I use it on the tripod and often handheld. On the tripod, the Wimberley Gimbal is a pleasure. You balance it, loosen the 3 rotational directions, and if feels smooth and like the camera is floating. Off the tripod, the top rotation adjustment lets you move it to any orientation. I usually have it at the bottom, and have my left hand extended under the plate which gives good stability and easy on the wrist.

Did not work for me
This replacement foot is very well made, and I liked the fact that it was Arca Swiss compatible for mounting on a tripod or monopod, but the clearance between the foot and the lens is so small that it was too difficult to use handheld, and I don't have big fingers. I did return this. I am thinking that this would be great if you aren't using your camera handheld and just using on a tripod
