Q: Is the elastic waistband completely covered with material?

Hi Louie, the flannel pants use a drawstring at the waist. They don’t have elastic. Hope this answer helps.

Q: Do they have a fly opening?

yeah but it is the size for a grasshopper, I had to cut through a lot LOT of stitching to make it a decent size speaking of which it is labeled a "Medium" but legs are at least 7" too long. And I always get medium trousers.

Q: Where can I find the size chart?

I never found the size chart. They run small.
