English teachers!
I don't pretend to review books often or call myself an expert - after all, what qualifies my personal opinion as important? - but as no one has reviewed it I felt some one ought to. I bought it for my students for the new 9-1 GCSE specfication in English Literature. The book is ok - the discussion points and short quote analysis throughout the chapters are good, but the questions are largely based on sites such as spark notes. Although sparknotes is useful, it's something we can already freely access and personalise ourselves. There would have been fantastic website links to resources such as vocabulary lists in chronological order of appearance, but on researching them many of the sites have closed or been moved which I found disappointing. It's still useful for reading with students, but it's not as interactive as promised.
