What can I say. I bought two just In case one failed.. but right out of the box the dreaded death rattle was solved by swapping these guys out.To my understanding the construction on these are hit or miss.. Even if you bought it directly from BMW.. there's always a slight chance that for whatever reason they can fail and recede back into their body And fail to apply ttension
