FLASHING SWORDS #6 delivers the goods...
I just finished Lin Carter's FLASHING SWORDS! #6, read it in two days. All the stories are top-notch but I particularly liked Curse of the White Witch by Wayne Judge about the classic pulp character Ki-Gor. I love Tarzan and the Tarzan-like characters and Ki-Gor is one of the best of those, handled very well here in this story.Note: Besides the excellent stories Robert M. Price's Introduction is hard-hitting and thought-provoking, well worth reading, but probably not for the PC, SJWs, the Woke, etc. I suggest such folks read and enjoy the stories first.

repugnant foreward
i ordered because i am huge fan of Lin Carter and his legacy. I canceled after being made aware of the repugnant "foreward." There is no place for that garbage.

Same intro that got the first edition into trouble.
Temp rating, having not read the stories. But to warn people, if you returned or cancelled your original order due to Price's gender rant of an intro, it's still there, with an additional complaint about "cancel culture" Instead of something fitting, like a discussion of how swords and sorcery has changed, and has not changed over all the years since Kull the Conqueror took the throne of Valusia. As if Crom cares about your pearl clutching over about what is between a person's thighs.I'll adjust my review after reading the stories. But pitch the intro into the Hells that Jirel of Jorey fought through.

Nice to know that fantasy has not completely bowed down to the PC tyrants!
I have bought very little fantasy or science fiction over the past few years, but after someone showed me the foreword to this one, I decided to order it, even if it IS overpriced. A breath of fresh air to see someone who knows what fantasy is about: doing something!

Hopefully the authors will get their stories into other books.
Hopefully the authors will get their stories into other books. Hopefully the editor will stick to packaging product without preaching. And please take Lin Carter's name off of this.

Editor's preface is a far-right screed
Readers should know that this anthology contains a preface where editor Robert Price makes known his far-right personal and political views with regard to family, masculinity, gender, education for boys, and more. At the time of this review, authors including Cliff Biggers, Paul McNamee, Charles R. Rutledge, and Frank Schildiner have asked that their stories be removed from the anthology, as they had no knowledge that Price would use the preface to make these statements. For Amazon users, the preface is at least partially viewable using the "Look Inside" preview feature on this listing page. This book should not be associated with Lin Carter's original run of "Flashing Swords" books.
