Nice quality but "Aged Oak" on web site didn't have these dark stripes.
Very nice quality heavy mantel. We got it in "Aged Oak" the base color was right but there are dark and very deeply textured stripes that were not in the picture on the listing. The package also said "Aged Oak". We needed to get the mantel up right away so I'll sand and soften the colors of the stripes. Other than that, it was easy to install and very sturdy.

Great buy
I have a large fireplace and I couldn't find a big enough mantel until I saw this. Perfect size, well made and it's real wood. Arrived a week ahead of time. Came with all the mounting hardware, installed in minutes

Disappointed-no quality control check before shipping. Stuck with it
Genuinely disappointed on all fronts.Looked all over for mantle that was to be installed in new den. Color and description of rustic was perfect. Found this and was delivered yesterday. Worked today, came home and mantle installed and stone worked continued by contractor. Mantle has 5 1/2 inch by 3 or 4 inch long divets on the front of the mantle, perfectly symmetrical from what can only be from a wood planer where they cut wood. It’s all you see- not natural looking as a result.Amazon instructs me to return the mantle for refund despite explaining repeatedly that stone work continued and surrounds mantle and it CANNOT be removed.

Nice shelf, wrong color.
The shelf seems to be good quality. However, it is the complete opposite color that I ordered. Instead of the rustic aged wood, I got a really yellowy mantle with burnt areas. I will just restrain it to match the color I had intended on getting.

I love the mantel, but it has the stripes like the other reviews say, weird. The stripes aren't shown in the stock photos

Pretty. HOWEVER...
I'm so upset. Lines and dots all over the product. It wasn't until I was ready to mount it that I realized any of these so buyer beware. Holes already in my walls and I've thrown away all packaging so it would be nearly impossible to return. I would be grateful if this company made it RIGHT. For the price of this piece, save your money.
