I have other JV shirts and I have always ordered a large and they fit fine. This "large" is tighter over the mid-section than my similarly styled JV shirts.

These shirts fit great!If its tight around the midsection that's because you're fat!

Let me start by saying I love John Varvatos' brand. Really dig the style his brand portrays with the whole vintage-meets-modern look and rock and roll vibe. This is my first actual clothing purchased from him though, as I've only just used his fragrances in the past. Always wanted to try his clothes, but on his website the clothing crazy expensive. So I saw this t-shirt here for a decent price for this brand and figured why not. Let me tell you...JV are not clothes for bigger men. I'm a 6'4, 255 lb guy, thick in build, but not fat. I normally wear an XL Tall or a 2XL in shirts, depending on the brand and style. Ordered a 2XL here and it fits like a size Large. Way too small. Unfortunately this size is the biggest they go up to. It's definitely not a regular sizing. I hate it, because I really dig this brand. If you order, I'd recommend going up a size for a fitted look, and two sizes if you want a regular fit. If you can. Sorry to the other 2XL guys out there.

Though expensive, i love these JV shirts. The colours are fabulous, and fit perfectly. Note that they’re more of a “custom fit”, somewhere between slim-fit and regular-fit, but not tight. That’s the sweet spot for me, and I’m quite broad shouldered and stocky.This is my third JV shirt.
