Brilliant
Just a superb bit of kit. I’m able to tackle those small, fiddly jobs that are too small for major power tools and I love it. As you can see from the photos I’ve trimmed the edge off the cutting aid to allow me to rest it on a platform of some sort (shelf, window ledge, workbench) and that makes it very stable. The tool itself is quite powerful. I’ve been using it to trim and sand sections of a door, to fix a vertical blind hook (cutting the replacement to size) and a few other jobs. It’s comfortable to hold and use and easy to change the blade to a sander (and VV) with the integrated hex key. I think that’s a brilliant idea allowing you to spin the key with one finger instead of fiddling with a separate key.On the negative side it’s rechargeable so when the power’s gone you need to recharge it (takes time) instead of swapping batteries. However, being rechargeable minimises the weight and bulk, and it’s not designed as an industrial tool. My second negative point is the protrusion I trimmed off the cutting aid. It’s unnecessary and stops you holding the edge of the tool on a flat surface.Overall though, I’m impressed with this little tool and really glad I bought it.

house grinder
Look if you want to cut bricks outside- get an 18v makita one this is a toy, be a real man/person.if you are just in your house and dont want grrrrrrrrrrrr grrrrrrrrrrr grrrrrrrrr noises and ramped up danger, well this is pretty perfect.I recon you could still chop your fingers off,but its a lot safer than the 12v china one with a reputable brand you are less likely to have the disks shatter and go in your face. Im sure it happens, but less likely.Usb chargeable, how neat is that, we truly do live in the future... because this isnt rubbish.... i was doing some perspex sanding and it was eating through, not like an orbital sander... like a grinder. The disk wont stop with a bit of pressure... its just keeps going and going. its powerful, there is a adequate danger .. but really removed a good bit of material.Im sure the 12v bosh pro one is way more powerful... but i bet noisier also... more dangerous.im not sending this back to get one of those... this lil grinder rocks.it more than rocks... its a gadget you didnt know you needed 2024

Downgraded to 1 star, basically useless, and fails to start most of the time
I've now tried this gadget on a few jobs and basically it's useless, so I've downgraded my review to one star; if I could give it zero stars I would. I was hoping it would help with some of the tasks that need a hacksaw or small saw. But it doesn't and It has at least 3 basic problems:1) It just refuses to start sometimes. The lock light comes on to say it's OK to run but when I press the start button nothing happens. This seems completely random and it fails to start more than 50% of the time. This is a huge frustration, this alone makes it virtually unusable. It takes longer to get it started than to do the job.2) It's under powered, stalls when trying to cut plastic guttering or a thin piece of aluminium.3) It's quite difficult to get a precise cut following a line, but maybe I need more practice. I could live with this if the machine actually started and cut things adequately.Total waste of money, absolutely not recommended under any circumstances. Great disappointment because normally I like Bosch products and have others that have been very useful.

I have been looking at buying this product for a while, finally took the plunge and I am not disappointed. Comes with a selection of discs and sanding pads. Easy to hold in your hand to use, and is versatile. Double security switch for safety, which ensures you cannot switch it on without holding it properly. Quality tool from a reputable manufacturer.

Convenient tool - but the battery life is short.
This is a very convenient tool for odd jobs ... But I have had this item for a year and a half and the battery life is becoming very short and unpredictable.
