I really like the scale. The first one had LED segments missing, so this is a replacement. The scale appears to be very sensitive / accurate, it is good size for variety of objects, and the display is very large and clear. So why not five stars?Two things.I don't like having to flip the scale to change between the metric and imperial units. I usually forget which mode I shut the scale off in, and by the time the scale initializes I have to flip the scale, and hunt for the mode button. This is made more difficult by the fact that the surface is touch-sensitive, and handling the scale with one hand is a bit tricky. It would be A LOT better if the mode could be changed from the top. The On/Off touch button reacts immediately. Wouldn't it be better if immediate touch changed the mode, and press-and-hold would shut the scale off? I suspect someone patented this, and Soehnle doesn't want to license it.Second thing is that the scale doesn't beep in reaction to touching the touch-sensitive buttons. This makes one wonder if a touch registered. There *are* actions that trigger a beep, so it's clearly possible. Why not beep to signal a touch was detected?

Scale just stopped working after a year. Never abused or put into water, it just went to zeros and can't reset. I reached out to Soehnle customer support, and they got back after a week (in German). Was told to contact factory in US. Still waiting for a response from them, going on three weeks now. I used this scale almost every day and really can't wait any longer for a simple remedy. I will be ordering a scale from another company.
